Best laptop for mostly programming and some gaming
I want to buy a laptop (it must be a laptop due to mobility, no desktop) that will last for at least 4 years, have 16gb of ram, a decent enough graphics card to run valorant at like 90 fps (btw it doesn’t have to be good, i’m just dabbling in a tiny bit of gaming), and mostly the specifications that i will need when programming. I use technologies such as React and i host small local databases for testing. I have $1200 as my budget.

For the laptop, it would be preferred if the touchscreen is pretty mid to big size (i never owned a laptop, please leave up to interpretation), and a good battery life.
Please send amazon links if possible

Touchscreens on laptops are pointless extra expense.

Made for programming and maker projects, and good for emu gaming.

i want to play games sometimes, like valorant. not necessarily trying to play anything greater than that. i’m lookin for more productivity cuz of college, what would be the best laptop that will match this?

I've fallen in love with Framework laptops, though the top 16 inch Ryzen models are a little over that budget.

The basic 13 inch Ryzen 5 model is $800 with plenty of customization options, but no discrete graphics. I would go for one of the Ryzen 7 options for gaming.
