SOLVED Issues after Upgrading Ram
Swapped out my ram a couple weeks ago and now I’ve been having non-stop issues.

are you mixing ram?

if you are only using a matched kit, then boot to bios, and reset to defaults, then enable xmp/docp

I bought two 16 GB sticks that were together.

Should I still check my hard drive if it's plugged in all the way?

Sure, never hurts to double check. Same with the memory sticks, you need to get a solid click from both sides, and the retention clips need to close themselves, as opposed to being closed by hand.

Yeah, I made sure they were in properly. When I check my hard drive, I'll also check the ram again. Also, where is the general location of DOCP/XMP in the BIOS?

on most bios its on the oc pages

Maybe try out the old ram again and see if the problem persists. Sometimes re socketing the ram could also help. It is unlikely that your ssd is at fault. There are no moving parts in there, so they are pretty much shock resistent. you could also try with and without xmp enabled and see if it makes a diffrence. Some boards just dont like some ram at some speeds. You can look at the QVL-list from the motherboard manufacturer if the new ram kit is supported.

you could also use Windows Memory Diagnostic and check if your ram is ok. Sometimes you dont have luck and get a monday-product.

I only have two slots on my motherboard, I think it's a micro ATX motherboard.

2 dimm slots is often very low end board
both populated will be dual or hybrid/mixed/flex mode

Disable XMP, save and exit BIOS.
Reenter the BIOS and enable XMP again, now it should be the correct RAM settings.

Save and exit.

Run Cinebench R24 and 3DMARK and see how it does.
think this issue is game specific. certain 32 bit games just will not work when you have 32 gigabytes of ram.

that makes no sense
32bit program can only access upto 2g of system ram
windows allocates what it can to it using 64bit calls

That's non-sense. I've had PCs with 32GB or more of RAM since Intel 4th Gen was brand new ro market. All the games work just fine.

Again the OP most likely never configured the BIOS properly which can and will translate into having issues with data issues, corruption. OS and/or App issues, crashing, etc.

You might also need to check the Windows PageFile. Set it to None and click Set then click OK and restart WinOS. Disable Fast Startup + Hibernation via CMD (Run As admin) > type POWERCFG -H OFF and press ENTER. Set the PageFile back to Auto now. Once set and clicked OK, restart WinOS once more. Now run your various tests. You can't always test with accuracy by just running a game. Test with various benchmarks such as Cinebench F24, latest 3DMark (free edition via their website, not Steam) and also Unigine Superposition

If you have NVIDIA GPU, ensure you have installed at least a modern driver and via a clean install. Such as 523.03 or newer. Then in NVIDIA Control Panel change a few settings for Manage 3D > Global. Such as Prefer Max Performance and System RAM Fallback

i have had multiple games crash, after i upgraded my ram to 32 gigabytes. always memory can not be written. the game tries to write to a memory address outside its range and crash.
