What headphones / Headset are you using?

Just out of curiosity, what Headphones / Headset are you using, why you choose them and are you happy with them flaws? no flaws?

HyperX Cloud Orbit S for gaming, HiFiMan Deva for music. bought those a couple of years ago due to quality and I prefer the idea of being able to swap cables (Orbit S) or have a hybrid headset (both wireless and wired, which is the Deva)

razer nari essentials wireless
they are great sound,battery and latency wise
but are very heavy and i have grown to dislike using them
unless i am playing something that really requires good sound

otherwise i use these generic "Victaulic" airpod knock offs that are actually pretty decent
sound and battery wise.

been looking at picking up the Logitech G435 LIGHTSPEED as a replacement
as i've heard they sound pretty good, are light and have good battery.
plus they are well under 100$ CAD.

AKG K701

I saw list on a small forum with 300 registered people and the AKG K701 were on top of the chart. So i bought the AKG K701 used and had them for 7-8 years... they then died... after probably 15years...
This week I have bought them again and I will never buy other headphones for Gaming.

The sound isnt full of bass but the positioning of enemies is basically Wallhack with headphones.
I have tested multiple Headsets even Astros (which are beyond awful).

I also have custom pads on my AKG K701 that I made myself.

Samson SR850, bought for durability and good sound quality. Been using them for 3 years and they still work fine.

For regular gaming, Audio Technica ATH-M30. Because the were cheap, and I wanted over-ear headphones to try the whole "fake 5.1" Soundblaster thing. $40 in 2014.

For online/MP/co-op gaming, HyperX Cloud Stinger. Because they were cheap and I needed something during Covid lockdowns. $50 in 2020, 2021?

(and on my non-gaming computer, Panasonic RP-HT21's. Because they were very cheap & lightweight. $8)

I don't use headset, last one I'd tried was a Razer Blackshark and it was terrible, bloated bass and recessed mid isn't ideal for gaming, or music for the matter. I'm using a variety of headphones, like Denon AH-D7000, AKG K812, HD800/600/6XX, HFM HE-1000/HE-560/HE4/HE-4XX/etc....cans that are great for music, and pretty darn good for gaming as well.

An HD 650 with a Schiit Hel+ and a Lav mic I turned into a headset boom mic.

Audio Technika 200 bucks usually but got them on discount. Comes with awesome gold plated cables, I never got ambushed in an FPS game using them haha

How is this on the bass side of things? Do you get that nice BOOM sound when using a shot gun in Doom for instance?

Any reliable name brand that delivers a minimum of 20hz - 20Khz frequency (sound quality including base), studio like covering the ears (but not studio pricing or high resistance, 8 ohms max.). I would get 12hz - 32khz and that is the max. the human ear is capable of hearing.
