For which game? Not all games do this.

Tanks for your help, Bad Motha.

“For what game?”
The game is ECO

Does the game have anything to do with the possibility of adding a command here, when launching the game?

I would make a batch file to launch the game - something like this:

REM delete all the temp files in the folder where the temp files are stored
del T:\tempdirectory\*.*
REM change to the folder where the game exectutable is stored
cd T:\gamedirectory
REM then run the game
eco

BUT DON'T USE THAT ONE - IT"S JUST AN EXAMPLE.

( It could be more elegant but I like readability over elegance.)

Temp/Junk/Cache files for Games are usually never stored in the game folder where the game installs at. They usually reside within the Documents or %LocalAppData% structures.

I have this AppData location on a hot-mark/bookmark. So many times I have to go there. :p

That doesn't seem right. :citizensurprised:

I only go there to mess with the config.ini and such...

That seems like a client issue if it's many games. If it is many games, you might benefit to run the Steam client installation package over the current Steam client installation (do not uninstall Steam) to see it that helps/fixes any corruptions because that to me seems like a corruption.

What I have read about this Eco game is that you should never cancel the games updates because it will cause this issue in the temp folder.

If you canceled a download/update from this game, the only fix is to reinstall this beast.

If this is the game in question, it needs at least 25GB of free space to run the updates.

I always just made a Games folder on the Desktop but this isn't for actual games since I have no use for game related desktop shortcuts anymore like the old days. Instead, in that Game folder I put shortcut links to game related folders to make them easier to get to for the same purpose as the OP is trying to do. For example...

RDR2 Mods
^Links to a folder inside the RDR2 game folder.

RDR2 Mods - Downloads
^Links to a folder on a separate storage drive.

RDR2 Mods - Unused
^Links to a folder outside the game folder which has some mods I may test but not always actively use.

MySummerCar - Game
^Links to that game folder directly so I can use a game editior or manage my mod files for it.

MySummerCar - Saves
^Links to a folder within AppData structure

Downloads (H Drive)

SteamApps (F Drive)

SteamApps (G Drive)

You get the idea.

I don't even know why I didn't have a shortcut in my Quick Links folder of shortcuts to various drives. :p

So now I have two shortcuts, one in Quick Links and one on C drive main directory.
