Seems its a common problem with that mobo so replacing it with the same is no way to be sure you wont still have the same problem.
Maybe get a bluetooth USB to plug in or something. They are so cheap anyway.
Go get the official driver from the motherboard maker and install that one.
Then check the BT settings via WINKEY + i
Already made sure that the blutooth drivers were updated from the Aorus Website, and I did get a dongle but it wouldn't work. I would get the blutooth icon when I plugged in the dongle but nothing would connect to it.
Cyberpower has been a nightmare to deal with. Everytime I call I'm on hold for an hour or more which is probably because they are just insanely busy.
Everything else on the computer works fine and the GPU and and CPU together are worth almost as much as I paid for the whole computer, so I guess their isn't too much risk if I just held onto it.
Aorus released a Bios update yesterday that said it addressed blutooth issues so hopefully that will help.
At this point I think I will keep it, I already set up the return and I have two weeks to ship it but I could also RMA any part of the system for another year. I think it makes more sense to just hold onto it.
It seems the when the computer is sleeping, it somehow shuts down the blutooth so I will keep it in sleep mode for a while and see if that affects it. Hoping I got it fixed or at least accept that it's just a issue with the MOBO because I was getting ready to box it up and ship it back
Make your own USB Flash Drive using MS Media Creation Tool to get the latest build of Win10 onto a USB for boot + clean install purposes.
Disconnect any secondary drives before doing an OS clean install.
Way ahead of ya buddy, I did it three times and it didn't work. I really think that the issue was with the motherboard. I was reading that when it goes to sleep, it puts the blutooth to sleep and it can't wake up properly. I think that's why turning it off resets it so it works again.
Aorus released a new BIOS that said it addresses blutooth and I installed that and turned off some hydrid sleep settings. I'm hoping this resolves the issues.
Can I ask why you have to disconnect the secondary drives before a clean install? Does it corrupt them? Thanks for all your help man, really appreciate it!
Set "Close LID" to "Do Nothing"
Set "Power Button" to "Shutdown"
Either turn off the Laptop or quickly switch the Power Profile to Balanced or Power Saving when not doing things such as Gaming. Switch it to High Performance before launching a Game.
You need to go into Device Manager and turn off sleep ability for Network Adapter, BT Adapter and USB Ports/Hubs (so it doesn't put a Game Controller to sleep for example)
Great, awesome man! I'm using a desktop but I will go and do all this tricks.
I already turned off sleep and hybrinate from the advanced power settings so that helps.
I did a test run today of putting my PC to sleep and the blutooth dropped again, so the newest BIOS doesn't seem to fix the problem. Still I have a power switch on my PSU so I don't even need to pull the cord to fix the problem.
I'm gonna hold onto the computer. I think it makes more sense to wait to RMA it until later. I have until April of 2022 to RMA any component so, if i did, it would make sense to wait in hopes that they would put in a different MOBO or one of the same model that might have the issue resolved.
I also enabled ERP in the Bios based on another suggestion and so far, I've gone to sleep a few times and the Blutooth has not dropped.
Imagine how crappy it would have been to send back this PC and RMA it only to have the SAME issue again, lol
PS. Why do you need to unplug the secondary HDs before a reset. Will keeping them in the computer corrupt them?
Again > Device Manager > Device > Properties > Power Management.
