Yes.
Though I mean the color of the walls.
Sorry for the misunderstanding.
Oh, I see. hang a black cloth across it maybe just connected by some small nails or something?
-> than I guess wallpaper is also out of the question.
well than you want paneling...
either mount panels or boards to the walls..
(can be done with double sided tape, or magnets if you are banned from drilling in your walls)
**if you cannot attack them to your walls... you can have panels that stand on the ground. either a inverted T, with as small a gap with the ceiling as possibly without damaging it.. or beams that JUST fit between floor and ceiling without any montage.. where you screw them on.)
those panels you than can paint without issue..
another alternative is a ceiling curtain rail that goes round your entire room...
a thick double sticked curtain will block most light.
specific solutions :
if there is a window that you want to blacken more than curtains alllow...
***
***you can cut a board that is marginally smaller than your window.. wrap a blanket around it to prevent any damage and than press it tight in your windowframe.
***you can cut cardboard, or black plastic (garbadge bags cut open) and tape it with regulair clear tape to your window
***alumininium foil taped to your window frame with painting tape.. will block most light and that tape will leave little to no glue remains when removed.
for light coming under a door.... roll up a towel and lay it before it.. or buy a plush toy snake.. that will nicely block it (there excist things that are made to block air coming under doors.. they likewise work to block light.
Alternatively, I suppose you could put up some charred wood panels[nakamotoforestry.com].
