Gpu upgrade drivers.
So guys just ordered my rtx 4060 ti 16 gb. It was time to upgrade my old gpu which was 1060 3 gb. So my question is how do i deal with drivers? should i just swap to new gpu and update to latest drivers or uninstall the old drivers before swapping the gpu and install the new gpu drivers after swapping. Is using ddu necessary?

yes

nvidia -> nvidia, just grab the latest driver from nvidia

if going from amd <-> nvidia, then use ddu to clean out all of the amd/nvidia drivers after swapping the gpu, before installing the new driver

Best bet is even if changing out one NVIDIA GPU for another, it will be best to just wipe everything NVIDIA off the system; then shutdown and switch GPUs. Then go to their website and download + install the latest Driver.

When I was swapping GTX cards for RTX cards in many builds; it was missing all sorts of NVIDIA features; until I wiped the Drivers clean and installed them fresh.
