For the chipsets, I should go with those rather than the Asrock ones?
As an AMD chipset driver of some sort should already be installed; the one I linked to above is just the most updated ones from AMD.
A fresh OS can be a bit finicky though; as it is usually missing all sorts of things gamers require; such as updated .NET Framework, DirectX Runtimes, and Visual C++ Runtimes.
also, since the OP is using an nvidia gpu, maybe nvidia hd audio driver is also installed. if this is the case, unininstall the component.
set default audio device Realtek.
Also, I have Logmein Hamachi installed. Could that give my PC grief?
Just crashed 2 times even when not gaming.
the reason why i ask for the source of audio input/output is that sometimes a particular audio port is prone to 'feedback' and the fix is using another audio port. try using the back panel port to rule out this possible source of problem.
also you said that you took the pc out of sleep. does this mean that the pc is always on and that perhaps some windows updates in the background are still to complete the update process? (this is a long shot query.)
as for the hamachi program, as part of troubleshooting, you can update it to latest version or uninstall it temporarily to rule out cause of audio loop.
as the pc is new and if the store that sold you this is nearby and offers free tech support, you can ask for help.
