Computer NOT produced in China?
I am really mad at China, after the last 6 months. (i'm scandinavian) So i'd like to avoid chinese products as much as possible. How to do that in computers?

I've heard that there's something called "Maingear" computers, and also Alienware, which is produced in USA, but clearly uses chinese Nvidia and AMD, which is hard to avoid. Western digital (hard drives) seems to make their stuff in Thailand, Logitech is unfortunately 100% chinese made. Gigabyte motherboards are from China, but Asrock are taiwanese.

HOW to get the most not-made-in-china computer?? What parts would it be made of?

Probably buy all the parts and build your own.
Some small part is bound to be made in China.

The closest you can get is made in Taiwan or Korea. Taiwan is not communist mainland China. It is the last remnant of the old China before the communists took over. But probably all the little components come from China anyway. That is if you assemble your own, like Jaunitta said.

It is sad we have let it come to this. But 99 44/100% of people have the mentality of save a dollar now. Muck the consequences.

Intel CPUs are all made in USA and Israel, AMD are made in Taiwan
GPUs are all made in Taiwan
PSUs, PCBs, LCDs, RAM and storage drives are made in Taiwan, Korea and China
The screws, sheetmetal, tempered glass, wires, rubber, and other upstream components are made in Taiwan and China

Pretty much everything is manufacturered in China. The few devices which are not cost 2x-10x as much.

Alienware's hardware is manufactured in China, the computers might be assembled in the US but the parts are not made there. It's likely done this way to reduce shipping cost, you can ship 50 motherboards in the same space as a single build PC.

ASrock also uses Chinese factories, the same factories are used by Gigabyte, EVGA, Asus, Dell/Alienware, Lenovo etc..

The only part of the computer which is not made in China will be the processor and GPU die. The chinese do not have the modern machines required to make these devices. Companies like ASML don't want to sell these machines to the chinese for fear of the chinese reverse-enginering these machines and building their own. Processors (And most other semi-conductor devices, FLASH/NAND, chipsets etc..) are made in German, the USA, Suith-Korea etc..

The only "computers" I know about off the top of my head which are not made in China (Not counting components/chips) would be the Raspberri Pi series of single-board computers and LibreM 5 USA edition.

The Pi likely still uses a ton of parts from China but the device itself is made in the UK. The LibreM 5's hardware is made in the US and Germany, the chassis is made in china.

It's pretty much impossible to get a 100% china-free computer. Unless you grab open-source schematics of a computer online and let it be build locally.

Pretty much off topic. I used to like to shop at the JC Penny website for stuff. (not computers). When they said that something was imported, they said from where. Good for avoiding helping China. But now they just say imported. Oh well. I am older and the world will probably last until I am gone. Good luck to all you kids. :(

There is also Hygon's Dhyana CPUs based on the AMD Zen achitecture.

They have the technology to make modern CPUs, just not the manufacturing nor knowledge.

Level1techs has a few good videos on these devices.

i think everyone right now is mad with china, but in this case and the majority of electronic parts comes from there and you can't avoid it.

The US is currently pressuring the Dutch government to deny ASML an export license for their latest machines. The company is more than happy to sell to China and more than happy to see them try building their own. We all need a laugh these days.
