G-Force experince not giving me the "driver installation complete" screen anymore

Hello all,

Ive noticed after the last 2 3080 driver updates gforce experience no longer gives me a driver completion screen..

Normally itll tell you that your installation has been complete and a run down of whats installed..but now it just doesnt..its almost like GE just closes out after the install..

I boot it back up and it says i have the latest drivers...

What gives?


OS:windows 10
gpu: 3080 OC edition
64 gb of ram

why don't you just update drivers through the website

gfe is mostly bloatware

it's probably bugged because they want people to use the new Nvidia app instead of GFE

Just DDU wipe everything for all GPUs in Safe Mode. Then reboot install the new NVIDIA app which replaces GFE along with latest driver.

Unless you have an issue with your driver I wouldn't worry about it.

aww man i guess i need to look into the new app

i did ddu just in case. re installed gforce experince and the current drivers etc

bloat to some...there recording software is actually pretty solid...and you need that installed to use it

..no idea if the new app will provide this or not yet

It is Beta but very stable; it does not yet do a complete replacement for NVIDIA Control Panel; this part of the feature of the new NVIDIA app will happen at a later time. But many of the old NVCP options have been transitioned into the new app.

I did a ddu this weekend and re installed experience but I’ll do the above and uninstall it for the app this week.

Have you already downloaded the app on pc? How is it?

It won’t mess up our comps due to it being in beta will it?

im using gfe, have been for a very long time, with zero issues currently.

when they replace it, ill change over, but i aint running their beta nonsense.

Just download and use the new NVIDIA App. Been using it since it was released. It is Much Better than GEForce.

I'm using GFE, and it seems that the install GUI does not complete, but the driver update installs correctly.
I recently re-installed GFE after playing with the beta - my version is 3.27.0.120, and just now I got the driver update 551.86.

yup just saw that driver update, updated it and everything worked fine and it told me the driver installation was complete.

so i dunno what issues others are having with gfe, or why anyone should use the beta.

anywho, i been using if for almost a decade on this pc alone, with zero issues.

as for when or if it gets replaced, who cares, when it happens it happens, ill be here using gfe until then.
