Can you link to the exact page you got your chipset and audio driver packages from? Also paste the name of the actual setup files themselves?
https://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/Z370%20Pro4/index.asp#Download
be sure to pick win 10 or win 11
it looks like win10 does not include the control panel, so you need to get that from the ms store
which is completely stupid of ms to force on them to do
the control panel is uses to assign what ports are for what
any can be assigned input or output, some even support spdif audio output
though with a new install I dont think thats the case.
No edge is all good.
I completely gave up on the realtek issues and got a SB Live!3 was the best $20 I have spent and use on all my pc and laptops...

So I reinstalled again. I think my issue is probably registry is pissed. Lower and upper filters thing. If I recall correctly. But I can’t find where to fix that.
If you do think it's the registry, might happen to be this which I just stumbled across https://appuals.com/no-audio-with-this-device-cannot-start-code-10-error-message/
Look at solution :4. I can't promise it'll fix it, but this seems like a good possible solution
HdAudio.sys and hdaudbus.sys
And tried to install realtek z370 asrockpro4 drivers for the 3rd time. And it worked for some reason.
Windows is voooooodooooooo!
Im installing mein kampf linux. This ♥♥♥♥ is too much of a struggle.
Anyways I appreciate the help guys!
that OS has tons of issues with drivers, had a friend with win 10 and no matter how i disable windows from doing driver updates, it would keep replacing the gpu driver and causing all games to crash as the driver it would install wasnt compatible, that happened about 5 or so times before the person decided to go buy a prebuilt with win 11 on it, which ended the driver issues.
im using win 11 and havent had a single driver issue (for any drivers), i also have realteck audio on my mobo (asus rog strix x99 gaming) and on my front panel display (asus rog front base), both work and havent had any issues.
