3.5mm Jacks No Longer Working After A Restart [SOLVED]
Realtek Semiconductor Corp. - Audio Device, Other hardware - Realtek High Definition Audio

So I noticed my system kept viewing my headphones as speakers. I also noticed I had a little red realtek microphone in my display. So I uninstalled it. No issues, headphones are now headphones.

I was happy. I then noticed in windows updates optional update for realtek. Thought it must be trying to reinstall itself, seemed fine to me, maybe previous thing was bugged. So I install it. No problems, I do a system restart and suddenly headphones wont show up at all in windows via the jack. If I remove the realtek driver thing from the Driver Store still no good.

See, I have an ASrock z370 Pro4/OEM designation motherboard. Normal Asrock z370 pro4 driver installer isnt helping. Its not able to properly install realtek audio controller me thinks.

ASRock. Its an OEM version of a normal board. Seems normal board drivers are no good despite having same audio setup.

guess I will use my monitor jack. Grumble

Sent an email to ASRock though.

Definitely good info. Are you using your display as an audio output? Can you disable that and see if it help? If you're not using it then I would think it shouldn't harm anything.

Both audio jacks non-functional for front of case ports as well as back motherboard ports? have you tried both?

Can you also post pics of your sound control panel the recording and playback parts?

incidentally pic related is what my system looks like https://imgur.com/a/q8k8Kuj
id boot up a recovery usb test the jack there

Yes I tried both, and both used to work without incident.

I also notice the UAA HD Audio Bus Driver is missing which is probably why Windows is not automatically downloading what it needs.

asrock also makes boards for oem mfgs like dell, hp and others, that are not standard
