Steam causing log file c /windows/system32/logfiles/srt/srttrail.txt on windows 11.
For the past couple of days, my computer has not been working and is throwing the log file c:\windows\system32\logfiles\srt\srttrail.txt error. I have reset my computer and tried every trick to get it back working. When I reset my computer, everything is fine, but when I install Steam, it messes up again, and I get the same log file c:\windows\system32\logfiles\srt\srttrail.txt error. I would really like to install Steam, so is there anything I should do to make this stop happening? Thank you.

This is often due to corrupted OS, faulty RAM, driver issue with your GPUs. Especially for users who may have done an in-place upgrade from Win10 to 11

If you did an inplace upgrade from Win10 to 11, or have upgraded Win11 to a newer build (such as an older build to newer 23H2) then I would first suggest to use SFC and DISM via PowerShell or Command Prompt (via Run As Admin of course) to verify OS files and alike.

For GPUs you can wipe out every for those easily with the DDU app. Best performed in Safe Mode. Then reboot and download and install latest drivers. If you have two GPUs (such as Intel + NVIDIA) then ensure to install drivers for both. Restart Windows after each install
