How do you think the loss of hz will handle in pvp games? I have the Oled for SP games but yeah I agree ips looks better, I have it in the cart now, just trying to hear feedback from others to see if I am missing anything or not to consider. Thanks for your reply!
That is around 70% higher pixel density.
I could not go back to 1080p after having played on 1440p for a while, the picture is so much better.
Yeah, you could call that a "competitive disadvantage" but keep in mind that most people are playing at 60hz, so you still have the edge over them. I would not worry about that.
Yeah my 4k OLED is amazing but at 42 inch, thats like 113ish ppi?
1440p at 24inch would be somewhere around 123ppi. That is whats temping me.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0CL7CR43N It is also the same size as my 1080p 240hz, so it wouldn't be all tacky looking mis matched lol
if you have an lg c3 then why would you opt for something inferior instead? even 540hz monitors can't reach the quality of oled.
if you have money burning a hole in your pocket and still want a 1440p screen, I would suggest looking at hardware unboxed reviews. I got a 27" 1440p 165hz quantum dot ips from msi ( for mostly my hobby like digital art and occasional 3d sculpting ) which is excellent for both gaming and workstation related tasks.
I think currently the best 1440p monitors are from lg and samsung. the qd oled from samsung ( 1440p / 360hz ) is unrivaled atm.
You could always set your existing 240hz screen down to a lower refresh rate as a test to see how badly you feel about it. If you run the screen at 120hz and it doesn't bother you one bit, well 165hz would be fine too. I don't know what your refresh rate options for that screen is though, but chances are it's more than 60hz and 240hz.
I agree with this. Although, I definitely would like to game on something larger than 24"
24" 1440p is very very very good overkill pixel density
Because It is hard to pvp on a 42 inch monitor. Too much screen to track. I am older, so my reaction time isnt that of a 20 year old. And I agree with you, OLED is Gold Tier. I just am debating a small 23.8 inch screen for games like Rust, PUBG,Fortnite and pvp shooters in general
Ill post back after Tuesday with my thoughts on it.

Certainly, I think 165Hz is enough for 99.99% of people.
As for type, I haven't used anything other than IPS for many years, although it really does come down to the quality of the monitor. There are a lot of poor monitors on the market that go under the tag of "gaming".
its kinda big for 1080p, unless its an ultrawide 21:9
I disagree. I have 1440p 144hz ips and while i am quite happy with it, the pixel density is not ideal. Have to use the best AA and i still see some pixelation.
1440p at 24 inch would be better in my opinion.
But it depends on viewing distance and a persons eyesight. Some people (who are almost blind i assume) dont mind 1080p at >30inch somehow…
and to poster get a 27inch 1440 and the difference in mp games between 144 and 240 is literally ms.
