Steam Deck Crashing

Hello, in the last 3 days I having a lot of crash on my steam deck.
I feel like it happens randomly and with various games in an indiscriminate manner, and it doesn't happen to me in the most excited phases of the game, but while I open the menu or I'm stopped in one place.

I've had the steam deck since December and until now this hasn't happened to me

What happens exactly? How does it crash? Does it affect just the application or the entire device?

sometimes it kicks me out of the game, sometimes the deck turns itself off and on again. For example, this evening it crashed twice while I was playing: with Shadow of War it kicked me out of the game; and then with Warframe the deck was restarted directly. Afterwards it crashed 2 more times while I was watching videos on YouTube in desktop mode, in the last two cases it restarted

Sounds like hardware failure. I'd contact Steam support and get an RMA set up.

I contacted the Steam support, and after some tests to understand the problem, they gave me three options and explained the steps to follow. The second option, resetting the BIOS, solved everything and now my deck it's ok 🙂👍👍👍

thats pretty interesting so a corrupt bios caused your steam deck to fail multiply times with certain games. i wonder how often this bios reset will need to take place to correct the problem you had.
