Ryzen 7 7800X3d temps with Noctua NH D-15
I had to do a reseat of the chip, but ran out of Noctua's paste and used an old syringe of Coolermaster's paste. But what temps should I see with this cooler when just browsing/idling?
Coretemp shows it at 43 degrees cel atm.
This is in a Fractal Design Torrent compact case with 2 140s on the bottom as well.

Looks pretty normal to me. The CPU consumes very little power but needs a decent cooler due to extra vcache layer acting like a thermal insulation.

I just disabled turbo boost. Max temp now is 55c while gaming.
43 seems too cold, heh. But, after a quick Google search, now it seems more normal.

10 cel hotter than my i7 7700k. Both systems are like 5 feet apart.

Those old cpu temps don't compare well to the newer cpus.
My 7800x3D idles anywhere from 40 - 45c depending on ambient temps with a 240mm corsair AIO.
Core Temp isn't entirely accurate on Ryzens, what does Ryzen Master tell its running at?

Coretemp is at 46 whereas Ryzen Master is showing 44.
I own the Noctua D-15, in fact my new build will also feature it. Those are the same temps I have, albeit 2-3°C higher, but I am on AM4.

I also use CoreTemp App. Idle is 39°C and on-load would be nearing 46°C - 53°C.

Do NOT USE Ryzen Master...

Use good thermal paste. Silver-based or graphene-based but NEVER silicone-based crap.

I would NOT TRUST CoolerMaster paste at all.

CoreTemp is 99.99% accurate on Ryzen systems.

It's not, it shows that my 7800x3D is using 29W no matter the load for example.
47 to 50 degrees C idle

84 degrees C max load

Using air cooling. I run my fans very quiet, so barely audible until the CPU reaches 75*c. This avoids the fans constantly ramping up in speed and slowing down.

My temps with multiple browser tabs open and video playing. Same cooler, no turbo boost.

I think the only reliable way to compare temps is to run something like cinebench all core test for like 20 minutes and read the temps just before the end of the benchmark.

There are too many variables otherwise.
Temp in the 40s seems a bit high to me.
Is there no way to manually control the fan speeds with the Fractal case?
