Looking for new monitor (close proximity)

I currently have an Acer 1440p 144hz nsync 25 inch display which is about 5 years old, looking to upgrade but my question is merely about the distance and maximal appropriate inch size.

I hate moving my head when playing games which I don´t need to with the 25 inch but I am still fairly close to the monitor, about 50-60 cm. Already tried a 32 inch and that was far too big.

So, probably looking to hear from people who regularly play on a 27-30 inch monitor in close proximity and whether a curved monitor helps with the viewing angle.

Samsung Monitors are very over-hyped.

LG, MSI, ACER and ASUS is really the way to go.

Acer Predator vs ASUS ROG Swift ? They very often use the same internal panels. You can find that info when comparing models if you do enough online searches.

And unless you are ready for a headache and extra work getting games to work properly, avoid Ultra-wide. Stick to 16:9

1440p (16:9) @ 165-240Hz using DisplayPort is really the better route for above 24 inch but below 34 inch.

Avoid HDMI for Gaming PC. Why do you think GPUs generally offer 3x DP on them.
HDMI 2.1 is mainly for plugging in a modern game console so you can push an actual 120Hz instead of 60.

HDR10 + FreeSync Premium is a big plus

for desktop for me 27inch 1440 is the sweet spot anything larger will actually look blurry
due to being to close to the pixels.for desktop
for best clarity...

1080=24inch

1440=27inch

4k=30-32inch not recommended

Haven't looked at the monitor market much lately. Its been a while.

The Coolermaster Tempest GP27U[www.amazon.com](4k 160hz) and GP271[www.amazon.com] (1440p, 165hz) interested me some time ago. They're mini L.E.Ds. with H.D.R. 1000 certification and loads of dimming zones .

L.G. Nano I.P.S. displays[www.amazon.com] claim to have true 1ms response time (without strobing) which is kind of tepting too.

These days there are a whole bunch of 27 inch 1440p O.L.E.D. displays in the $700-800 price range too. Out of those I'd probably buy the A.O.C. Agon PRO AG276QZD[www.amazon.com] 'cause it's the lowest price one, and I bet they all use the same L.G. panel anyway.

I would say 27" is definitely what you should look for and no, a curve does not help with a monitor of that size. 30 or above and the curve starts to look natural.

I have a 34 inch curved monitor and nothing is blurry. Crystal clear picture. And games look awesome on my gigabyte monitor.
