I think you need to go back to school or something.
How you going to have positive pressure & airflow with 4x intake fans and no exhaust fans?
Just having a Case with good rear and top venting isn't enough by itself. If a Case has a place to put a Fan, you really should consider installing one there. Having around 3-4 Intake + 2-3 Exhaust Fans makes much more sense.
Original Torrent: https://youtu.be/HBxo2_lwKps?si=LqG1K7Rqnf_b-P2a
Compact: https://youtu.be/oGBQcYvsgFM?si=2e68No7GNLxA_uaT
I'd also like to point out the fact that I'm currently using the original Torrent and have first hand experience with it. I even tried putting an exhaust fan on rear for giggles and ♥♥♥♥♥ when I built it, but it actually hurt the thermals as it basically fought my D15s. Could I have played with the curves and maybe had it *slightly* improve? Sure, it's possible... But I kind of doubt I'd end up with much better than what I have considering that there is basically no restriction between the back of the cpu cooler and the back of the case.
All I'd put inside that are maybe mid range specs at most. It can't handle high end specs.
They are worse then Alienware cases
It's an airflow case, so no, it's not meant for liquid cooling. Has amazing overall airflow and 5 fans stock including two 180mm fans so you clearly are talking out your ass.
I accept apologies for nonsense by the way... You've been spewing a lot of it.
Since I now have the fans facing the right way, the 7800X3D is running at 37cel idle and the gpu at 21 with zero rpm. The opening at the bottom is about 1.5cm give or take and I have 2 140mm fans there.
False. I never pretended as I did have heating issues due to me having a brain fart and placing the fans the wrong way.
In regards to the fan orientation, look at it this way. Noctua includes 2 fans with their NH D-15 yet state the second fan does nothing at all and is not needed.
How many fans do you need? The Torrent actually has 6 or 7 depending how many your cpu cooler uses.
My Compact currently has 2 180mm front intakes. 2 140mm bottom intakes and the 140mm on the Noctua. I can feel the air flow coming out the back of the case.
These case were designed with airflow in mind, which is why they don't focus on liquid cooled.
In regards to water cooling, for my uses and intentions, it's not needed as I don't plan to overclock at all. IF I did, I would have gone with a bigger case.
To reiterate, my 7800x3d is at idle, 37cel and the gpu around the same. GPU no longer hits 70cel while gaming and the fans spin up to around 1200 when gaming.
Once I got the fans situated right, all was well.
But idle temps don't mean anything.
And when I count fans I don't include cpu or gpu fans, only case fans.
Now that seem to have made some adjustments now run a good test such as Prime95 small fft loop test and also MSI Kombuster (use a test in here that stresses the gpu core while using alot of vram) and run both tests at the time for approx 30 mins. Then see how hot the cpu and gpu gets. This will however be more stress then testing with any games so expect to see some higher temps that you'll most likely never experience while gaming
Now, if I could find out what the default fan speeds of the Torrent are, I'd set these the same way. I'm not using the hub. All fans are on the mobo.
