Should I keep my gaming laptop or buy an Xbox Series S?

My laptop has a GTX 1660 Ti, i7-10750H, 16GB RAM and 1TB SSD. It can play RDR2 with optimized settings on 1080p at 60 FPS most of the time, same with Cyberpunk 2077 on medium-high settings with FSR. There are FSR 3 mods out there, which means the technology will prolong my laptop's lifetime for a few more years.

However, I've been thinking about getting an Xbox Series S because my laptop is so loud and hot when gaming. I don't know if that's stupid or not, but I've bought many games for the console such as RDR2, Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition, the Mafia Trilogy, Control Ultimate Edition, Black Ops Cold War and a couple more. Considering that GTA VI is going to come out on consoles first this also adds another point towards getting a console.

Should I get it soon before games become more expensive or stick with my laptop for now? I'm aware of the Series S' limitations, but they don't bother me. As long as it runs games fine I'm okay with that.

well the xbox will last you much longer than that laptop and you can't get a pc equivalent at that price anyway

I know, it's a really good deal. The Xbox Series S will run future games way better than its PC-equivalent GPU.

that also comes with gamepass which has hundreds of games

its about as strong as the xbox ss
with gamepass, you can cloudplay games

You mean Game Pass on PC? Damn, that'd mean I could play demanding games via Cloud.

Just hook it up to tv and connect to the xbox controller.

Just hook it up to tv and connect to the xbox controller.

I've actually done that a couple of times. The reason why I'm not doing it all the time is because of strict parents who are possessive of their TV.

if you are able to use a gamepad for gaming instead of mouse and keyboard, it is a good thing to buy a console like xbox series s.

I use an old Xbox 360 controller that has some issues, but I can play games with aim assist rather well.
