Disable Sleep & Hibernate (CMD via Run As Admin) > type POWERCFG -H OFF
Press Enter key. Restart Windows to apply this change.
Set the button functions:
Sleep Button = Do Nothing
Power Button = Shutdown
Close Lid = Do Nothing
Set the time for Display Power-Save / Off to around 10 mins (or more if preferred)
Set all this once when running on Wall Power; then once all set, unplug the wall power and then configure it all again while running on Battery. It will dynamically remember the settings for both; Wall Power and Battery.
It was the screen saver, didn't realize I had to restart for it to take effect. Don't think earlier windows needed that ?
But yeah thanks, good advice. Were these defaults reversed or has it just been that long since I set up an OS?
Laptops do that?
May have changed itself with another setting?
