Steam Deck Docking Station Not Working After Reset
I have a Roku TCL tv (a few years old), a new Steam Deck (OLED 1 tb), and a new official Steam Deck docking station. I went through the setup process and I had no trouble docking my new deck. Games worked perfectly on it for a couple days. Then I later I 'reset' the docking station by unplugging everything and now I can't get the tv to pick up input from my deck (besides the occasional black screen or static white).

I went into desktop mode and I noticed that the deck is able to recognize the tv in the display settings. All the settings look correct, but still no signal from my deck on the tv. I can see that my dock's firmware version is now 0.13.15.121 - does anyone know if this the latest version? If not, how I can manually update it? If this is the latest version, I'm willing to take any tips at this point. I already tested other HDMI cables and none work for my dock anymore, and yet they all work for my Nintendo Switch.

Update: I tried replacing the docking station with an Anker hub that I use for my laptop. That worked immediately without any issues, so the problem is definitely with the dock itself.

I found a solution that worked in a Reddit forum: "You should connect Steam Dock to TV, and then re-plug steam power cable. Then it resets somehow and you finally have picture on tv."

For some reason, only this *precise* order of steps worked for me:
Everything unplugged and off, hdmi cable connected to my tv, then connected hdmi to dock, then plugged in charged to wall and then to dock, next turned on my tv and opened the hdmi channel, then turned on Steam Deck (not connected to dock yet), and finally connected my deck to the dock. That fixed it (I then connected my ethernet cable, but that was unrelated.)

It's wild how no other order of steps worked for me besides this. Might have been a coincidence, but it's working now. I'll keep this post up in case it helps anyone else.
The Dock has its own forum...

It may help some of them over there.
