Headset Users: Do you prefer Wired or Wireless Headsets?
It seems like a lot of people prefer wired over wireless headsets. For me, I don't like being physically tethered to my PC if I wanna stand up and stretch or walk into another room while on a video call. But what is your opinion?

I got the Corsair HS70 because I really wanted the ability to choose whichever whenever. When on my PC, I usually have it connected by audio cable because it's simpler to turn on my DAC thing than to navigate in Windows and connect it by bluetooth.

But I like bluetooth available so I can use the same headset with my phone/Roku/TV and everything else.
I prefer a cleaner desk devoid of excess wiring that's why I have a wireless headset, mouse and keyboard.

wired for me, its not convenient sometines but there are no 2.4 ghz signals pumped next to brain either. not saying they do ir do not do anything bad just being extra safe.

also my v40 phone has a quad dac so i need 3.5 mm headphone jack to experience
Wired all the way...a bit like myself. I did the whole wireless thingy years ago and they don't last long enough for me; twenty-four hours long...
Have a fab weekend :steamhappy
Interesting this popped up as I'm looking for a new headset.

I prefer wired. It's not cleaner, and the cord can be a pain sometimes, but I don't like worrying about signal issues or batteries, either replacing them, or having them wear out over time.

If you're thinking about going wireless, the razor black shark is not bad. I've had a pair since 2020 and I haven't had a single issue with them at all.

The software kinda sucks, but I just used it to get the latest driver and then uninstalled it. The build quality is good, though the headset might be a bit over priced. Zero regrets getting that headset. Maybe check out the hyper-x cloud III while you're at it.
Wired, because batteries have their flaws, and they can explode under the right conditions.
Wired, because i want good audio quality, which is simply not possible over wireless. Not enough bandwidth.
Battery life and weight is another issue.

as far as I can tell 2.4ghz bluetooth is not harmful. It's signal is not dense, nor is it ionized. Nothing like X-ray, Microwave, or Gamma Radiation.

Don't forget that even the best wireless headphones with the fastest connection type are always going to have a slight delay with the audio transmission because they're wireless. It's usually 0.5 seconds or less but if you're on a voice call that "very slight de-sync" is enough to annoy you after a few minutes and becomes noticeable fast.

Wired headsets will never have this issue.

Seems like that's highly dependent on the make/model/quality of the headset. I've never experienced a delay that's noticeable, even watching a video of a metronome to see if the Visual and Audio portions don't sync. No perceptible delay. Bluetooth technology has developed to the point where wired, and wireless performance is indistinguishable.
Wireless cans for travel and wired for 7.1 PC gaming (although most times I just use my 5.1 speakers).
