8Gb Ram Dual Channel Or 12 Gb Diferent Stiks?
I want to upgrade my sister laptop, she curently has 8 gb ram dual channel, but she can use only 6 caus the amd cpu make 2Gb vram from 2 ram, i looked online, her max ram acording to lenovo suport is 12, its worth to put 8gb ram and 4gb to have 12? Basicaly she would have 10Gb free, one slot is soldered to motherboard so i can only change one stick, her ram are ddr 4 at 3200mhz

Honestly, no it's not worth it. Start saving for a gaming desktop.
You're over-thinking what should have a pretty apparent conclusion.

If you need beyond 8 GB of memory, then 12 GB is always going to be better than 8 GB.

If you don't need beyond 8 GB of memory, then the current amount is sufficient and your best move is to save your money.

It's as simple as that, really.

If you don't accurately know her memory needs (and she doesn't either) and you don't mind the cost of 8 GB, then just buy it and add it in. 8 GB is pretty low these days, especially with an IGP claiming some of it, and more will likely be nicer. At worst, maybe it isn't needed and you don't need to spend the money (this is why being aware of your memory needs is nice so you don't have to guess) but it's not going to markedly harm her PC performance either.

You're better off saving for an actual gaming desktop computer, 12GB isn't going to be enough for a lot of instances.

max of 12g?
does it only have 1 so-dimm slot?
if so, then it probably has 4g soldered to the board

get a 8g dimm, probably ddr3, speed wont really make a diff, since it will be limited by the ram soldered to the mobo

it will be dual ch for 8g, and single ch for 4g, flex/mixed/hybrid mode

the fact that the igpu uses system ram, does not change anything

check with cpuz to verify its ddr3 or ddr4
single 8g so-dimm is <$20usd, and worth it for the old laptop if you still use it

post a cpuz validation link
http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html
cpuz -> validate button -> submit button
it will open a browser, copy the url (address) and paste it here
