Looking for new peripherals
Hello. I wanted to get some brand new premium keyboard and mouse. I always wanted to try ROG but internet raised in me the worst possible fear in armoury crate. I also tried to learn about custom mechanical keyboards but I think it is a too complex world for me, other than in my country I'm not very well served from online stores who sell components, especially on shipping. Is there any good brand who makes solid premium keyboards and mouse for gaming purposes? Thanks and have a nice day

I like Logitech for mice. Good software to boot as well.
Something like a G502 Hero as a mouse, for example.

As for keyboards, I got nothing there.

For mice, best bet is to look at Logitech and Razer as they offer some of the best gaming mice on the market.

For keyboards, it's a more difficult story because there's considerably more variety due to switch types, form factors, etc. My personal recommendation if you want something actually premium and not the typical companies like Corsair, Razer, etc. building (subjectively speaking) crap boards for gamers with flashy lights and nothing else, is to go with something from Keychron.
Logitech software sucks and so does Razer, but some of the mice are great.

Logitech G602 wireless mouse and the Razer Naga Pro wireless mouse.

These two mice have lasted me over 4 years now.

As for keyboards, I hate high-rise keys and mechanical clicker boards, I go with a cheap $10 Logitech wired low-rider keyboard. :p

This keyboard has lasted over 6 years...

The more i try to find some answers, the more doubts i have and it's not your fault guys, really. I appreciate the help but as of now i don't know where to turn my head, especially for keyboards ç.ç

Quite honestly, I have been using the Razer Naga with its 12 keys on the side (mmo mouse) since 2013. No lie.

Keyboards I am different. Most like the caps, and clicks, and whatnot. I prefer chiclet style, low profle, barely a keypress and somewhat quiet. I found a random brand I like and bought 3 of them because they were so cheap. Its called RedDragon Karura2 Model M502RGB

I think I have found a custom keyboard shop based in my country, I'll try to get in touch with them. I only need to see about mouse

XTRFY mice are great, I use an MZ1, it has no software as it is not needed., all options are changeable directly on the mouse.

Keyboards... too much choice.

I was thinking, what if i get rog peripherals but i don't install armoury crate? Will they work fine? And what will i miss? For example, if i get the Azoth and don't install armoury crate, what will display show?

Mouse: Logitech G520 Lightspeed...or any of the wired G502
Keyboard: G915 TKL Low profile mechanical keys with a large battery. Full charge for me with how I have lighting set is 148 hours. Bit pricey so get on sale.

Logitech GHUB sucks so I set profiles onto the devices and have GHUB set to not load up on Startup.

Personally I have a Wooting 60he and a Razer Viper v2 pro 8khz polling.

Couldnt have asked for anything better.

These are all high level competitive perhiperals which are geared towards low latency maximum performance. They wont have as many buttons and some wont have rgb but these will be the most responsive and lightest stuff you can buy for gaming

For keyboards look at the Apex Pro either full size/TKL/mini, Wooting 60he/80he/two-he, razer huntsman v3 pro.

I wouldnt go for a keyboard without rapid trigger in 2024 the advantages are just too great and theyre more or less the same price as other keyboards

For mice look at the Razer Viper v2 pro, Razer Deathadder v3 pro, Razer viper signature edition, g pro superlight 2, finalmouse ultralightx, all lightweight, all very good sensor and very responsive with a good build quality.

These are pretty much top in class and these are as good as it gets for fps gaming.

Personally Id ignore what people say about how mainstream brands like razer, logitech and steelseries and how they keyboards arent 'enthusiast' and 'high quality'. Most of their new lineup are made of metal, with pbt keycaps and are mostly hotswappable switches. A lot of them are now certainly much higher quality and borderline enthusiast level with the benefit of having some of the best sensors and technology which is what a lot of smaller brands lack. They can also be customised into 3rd party cases.

Like when looking at mice the best sensors will be a razer or steelseries mouse. Sure you can get other mice which are lighter, cooler rgb, also nice shape, premium materials for the body and feet, but they will usually always have worse sensor then what razer and logitech can offer including far worse latency.

I use to have a ducky one2 mini and I found out the latency was 17ms which is shocking. Most gaming keyboards are sub 2ms latency.

Wooting 60 he if you prefer 60% keyboards and wooting two he if you prefer full sized ones. As for mice go for anything other than logitech, razer ,steelseries.Lamzu and pulsar make great ones.

I have had mice from razer, logitech, glorious, pulsar. Nothing beats lamzu at this current moment. The quality, weight, shape, feel.

Razer and logitech is just overpriced af. Chinese made stuff is way cheaper and usually the same or better quality. Wooting is the best keyboard though.
