But you should set a custom fan curve instead of manually controlling the fan... Because thats just dumb. Might actually damage the gpu by forgeting to turn on the fan for a few hot summer days... They do throttle at high temps, but that does not completelly save the gpu from damage.
Yeah, artifacting, driver crashing or potentially blue screening could happen with a seriously damaged gpu. But thats very unlikely with modern gpu's because they throttle quite a lot at high temps. Still running at 91 degrees for a very long time could likely reduce the lifespan of the gpu so i would avoid that.
I don't think firestrike shows errors at all. It's just a performance test. I think Furmark actually shows errors, but i havent used it in years so i'm not sure.
