Can my gtx 750ti handle 1080p well?
Currently, my Monitor's max resolution is 1366x768. I've been planning to buy a new monitor that is atleast 1080p in resolution. But one of my friend said that my gpu cant handle 1080p that well and possibly melt. Is this true?

Won't be a problem with CSGO at least.
Other games? Kiss high quality settings goodbye.
Depending on the game and settings used you can certainly move to 1080p.....however, any newer games (or poorly ported games) will require you to drop the settings to low/medium for decent performance.

The 750 Ti is a great card for 720p resolution as you're currently using. Running 1080p, to keep similar settings on games you play on your current screen you'd need a GTX 960.

It'll run it... but you're gonna have to adjust some settings and will probably get 30-60FPS in most games. When you increase the resoulition, it demands more Vram from the graphics card, the 750TI only has 2GB, which is better than 1GB.. but for 1080P you pretty much need a minimum of 3GB. If you're using such an old monitor that your resolution is that bad, i'm assuming you're on a budget.. or new to gaming. If i were you, I'd buy a new monitor first.. get your 1080P display, but keep in mind that you will probably wanna upgrade your GPU sometime in the future.

I used to play Skyrim at 1080p Ultra with a 750ti, basic ENB graphics, 2K textures, loads of flora mods and it ran OK.

1080p on a 750ti will work but you'll need to lower some graphic settings to maintain good fps.

Depends on the game. I have a GTX 750 Ti and some games such as GTA V and The Witcher 3 have to be turned down to medium settings, while other less intensive games like Dark Souls II, Fallout 4, and MGSV work very well at 1080p at top settings.

Still, this card is on the edge of not really being a decent card anymore.

i have a 660 Ti and could run fallout 4 at 60fps medium settings
no youll need something like the 960 for 1080p gaming at high or the 950 for medium settings

GTX750ti will run even the most demanding games. You will just have to play with graphics quality settings to get good framerate.

LOL, it won't melt ^.

CS GO will be ok it's not that demanding of a game. It wouldn't hurt to aim your sights a little higher than the 750ti though.

Ps, for newer games at 1080p the settings will mostly need to go down quite a bit.

Med/1080p hovering between 23-30ish fps ^ not doing it at med for sure.
