buying or selling?

buying not even close

selling, get rid of it if someone will pay that much for it

if you are looking for a new build, you can get an i5 build which will be better for games than fx and a gtx 970 or r9 390+ at that price range

HPs have more bloatware than any other company..
id avoid it.

1st company i ever used, loved em, then i got wise and started using build sites then building my own.

did the customizer on the HP site years ago for a Q8300 and a 9800GTX+, ended up being $2000, but at that point i didnt know any better.

i'm sure theyve gotten better since then, but as far as bloatware goes probably not.

not bad deals though

Up to you if you think that's worth it. It will be able to play games but you could build better for yourself for the same price, or the same for a lot cheaper. Here's examples:

Better & same price:

Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler
ASRock 970M PRO3 Micro ATX AM3+/AM3 Motherboard
Kingston HyperX Fury Blue 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory
Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Raidmax ATX-402WB ATX Mid Tower Case
Thermaltake 750W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply
Lite-On iHAS124-14 DVD/CD Writer
Microsoft Windows 10 Home OEM (64-bit)
Patriot Blast 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive
XFX Radeon R9 290X 8GB Double Dissipation Video Card
AMD FX-8300 3.3GHz 8-Core Processor

Base Total: $914.51
Promo Discounts: -$8.00
Mail-in Rebates: -$105.00
Shipping: $5.98
Total: $807.49

The same (or as close as I can make it) for less $:

AMD FX-8320 3.5GHz 8-Core Processor
Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P ATX AM3+ Motherboard
Kingston HyperX Fury Blue 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory
Seagate Barracuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
PowerColor Radeon R9 380 4GB PCS+ Video Card
Raidmax ATX-402WB ATX Mid Tower Case
EVGA 600B 600W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply
Lite-On iHAS124-14 DVD/CD Writer
Microsoft Windows 10 Home OEM (64-bit)
Deepcool CAPTAIN 120 91.1 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler

Base Total: $752.86
Promo Discounts: -$8.00
Combo Discounts: -$10.00
Mail-in Rebates: -$65.00
Shipping: $1.99
Total: $671.85

The first one which I'm saying is better has a slower CPU but a much faster graphics card and the CPU is unlocked for overclocking and comes with a CPU cooler so you can overclock it just the same since it's the same CPU just with different factory settings. Beware that overclocking does void the warranty though.
^^^^id have to politely disagree with the first build you posted at the same price as being better.. the one the op posted has a 8320 with liquid cooling and a r9 380 4gb... i wouldnt go with a fx 8300+212 evo to get a 290x 8gb

edit: also my personal opinion is i dont like to confide in the possibility of mail in rebates
if i was going with a $800 pc id choose the intel builds listed or look into a pre-built intel build if u want pre-built

Bloatware is easy to get rid of.

http://www.decrap.org/

Or just do a clean install.
id take the dell and make the driver backups, then reinstall windows
i agree that the hp is a good deal but i dont know how you could re-install unless you have a windows 7 pro cd.. as the backup option/restore disks/system restore will just give you the factory bloatware... id upgrade to windows 10 through micros*** and do clean install
you can download the iso
id still just upgrade to 10 pro but thats my opinion. either way you do it i would do a fresh install and be done with it. and hp loves the wildtangent games that get flagged as malware by almost every antivirus/malware

Why upgrade period? Just download and clean install Win10
No need to buy Win10, it is free.

WildTangent is Ad-Ware but not malicious; just like BigFishGames or iWin. The apps have ads in them; so they will get flagged as PUP. Potentially Unwanted > but not malicious or harmful.

that is the "upgrade" you download windows 10 media creation tool, download media for this computer and install windows 10 pro will do a clean install of fully activated 10 pro since that computer has windows 7 pro on it. I would choose the fully activated windows 10 pro all day long over the free beta windows 10
Honestly you shouldnt have to reinstall as the decrap should get rid of all the bloatware if you do get any.
No. It would make a poor gaming machine. There are "best builds" for various price points on sites like tomshardware.

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/best-pc-builds,4390.html

The #1 thing to look at is the cpu's single thread performance. It more or less equates to how fast the pc is for gaming.

That cpu has a very low Passmark single thread benchmark of 1400. Current cpu's are in the 2000 range. 1400 would probably get only 30 fps on many games. To run current releases you want a minimum of 1800 from this chart:

WTF are u talking about; Media Creation Tool is How u download Win10 OS; it can do upgrade, clean install, whatever the F u want it to do. #LearnSh!t

It's not Beta; it is the full OS for anyone and all; no key needed.
Paying for Win10 = u read into getting ripped, hope u like that.
