Busted Headset or Software Issue?
Ok, so. here's What's been going on:

I brought a new Logitech H111 Stereo Headset, which I have used for a year. I've gone through 5 beacuse they either burn out or break easily. I've never had a problem quality wise.

SO, i plugged the new headset in, and the first thing I noticed was that the sound quality was god awful. The first thing I did was try to see if I needed new drivers, which are all updated.

Next, I tried to reconfigure the Output settings, nothing happened.

I tried to screw around with the settings in the ASUS Audiowizard program and RealTeK HD audio program, nothing major happened. (I was able to fix the sound to a degree, but it still sounded bad.)

I then used the headphones in my phone (Which isn't really great, but i have no other Computers available.) and it sounded WORSE.

Is my headset broken, or is it a software issue?

Try another headset of different model/quality and compare.

Even EarBuds can sound fine with the right balance of equalizer settings; then just get a good Mic

Logitech would also replace those free of charge under warranty.

Logitech G430 are good for under $100 range and are often on sale on Amazon for half their $80 retail pricing.

I got a new headset, and I can verify that it was a bad set.

Not to be a negative dillydally..

But you pay for what you get, there cheap crap and terrible.., it's meant for stuff like "talking over phone",buisness, work, or just skype.

you want a real headset like g933.. with amount you've spent you could of brought a g930 or something like that

As 5 would be like 100 bucks.

headset, isn't meant for day to day long or daily usage of gaming/music..

And Yes, I am a cheap man. I don;t like to spend lots of money.

You get what you pay for.

Cheap would be a Logitech G430 @ 35.99
Anything cheaper except MAYBE a pair of ear-buds and a seperate Mic could suffice.
But like a combined Headset for under 30-40 at regular price? Yea those are all junk.

Use headphones, don't use headsets. They often sacrifice sound quality just to attach that mic.

Get some good headphones and get a clip on mic or desk mic if you're on a budget. Use a real sound card, preferably external with a headphone amp.

Problem solved.
