Need advice from a female gamer, or men with freakishly small hands?
Title about covers it. I need a new gaming mouse. I like palm grip styles, and i've done a ton of searching but i'm tired of buying a mouse, then having to return it because it isn't as small as everyone suggested. Was just wondering if there was anyone out there who has tiny hands, uses a palm grip style mouse, and can recommend. (anything but corsair m65, and mad catz; tried and returned) Wasn't sure where in the forums to put this, but i figured this area was as good as any.

As we seem to have the exact same issues, this is the one i was wanting to replace. So if no other better ideas come forward, you should look into it. http://www.amazon.com/Redragon-Mammoth-Programmable-PC-Profiles-Switches/dp/B00GU4F4OM/ref=sr_1_3?s=pc&srs=8400656011&ie=UTF8&qid=1456183008&sr=1-3

It's been the smallest, most comfortable one i could find. For the cost, and extensive use (got two years and many many hours out of it), its a decent deal, i was just hoping to find something slightly better in quality. (i also cant reach the third thumb button XD but two seems useful enough!) If i cant find something else worth trying, i'll probably just buy another of those.
Measurement-wise, that looks like it *might* work. I may have to try it, thanks. :)
I don't play too many serious FPS games so luckily I don't have a huge need for a serious "gaming" mouse, but I've often wanted a couple extra buttons/side buttons at times.

Wow, you must really have small hands then.
I'd post a pic of my hand grasping my 4" long, 2 1/4" wide, 1" high mouse but per usual I'm too lazy this afternoon. Suffice to say it takes up a large portion of my palm/hand when in use. My center of palm measurement is a tad over 3 inches wide when stretched out flat. It's odd because I don't think they look all that tiny/delicate at a glance...no one's going to walk by and point at them...but my husband, who has fairly large and very long-fingered hands, can pretty much hide my entire hand inside his fist. lol.

Yeah, if you're not a heavy gamer, then i'd give it a try for sure. It'd definitely last you awhile. Mine made it many hundreds of hours, and a bit of abuse before it had enough.

Also. It's not that we have freakishly small hands, we're just small people. Short people tend to be proportionatly small everywhere. I also have itty bitty feet. Wear a size 5 in womens, but tend to shop in the kids section as they're more comfortable for some reason.

My GF uses a Roccat Lua, which is one of the smallest gaming mice I have ever seen.
Very sleek and elegant design, perfect for palm grip. Goes up to 2000 DPI, which isn't much for a gaming mouse, but it does the job.
The only real downside is the lack of side buttons.

Aaand here's a size comparison with an egg because why not:

i love extra buttons though... :( I Was looking into one of the roccats at some point, i guess i'll have to revisit that. Maybe i can find one equal in size + extra buttons?

Another option, OP, would be to modify some item or other into a mouse. If you're handy (no pun intended) with things like a dremel tool and some sandpaper, etc., you could find a suitable small object that feels comfortable and gut your existing mouse, and make yourself something new and custom, a sort of franken-mouse. It's done all the time for PC builds, so why not for a mouse as well?

*edit: Just saw your last post, and if the rest was one of the main things holding you back you could attempt the same with it. Make your own rest, I mean. Just an idea, anyway. Hope you find something suitable. :)

I'm definitely not inclined towards that sort of thing. I thought about trying to figure something out for the ratz, which is why i held onto it for so long, but my creativity failed me. A friend had suggested gutting one and having someone use a 3d printer to make a shell for it, but the convenience of straight up buying a mouse is at the top.

I use a Razer Naga and I find that it works well. I like the numbers on the side too because it's easier for me to switch between weapons, healing and other objects when I'm in a rush. It does get some time to get used to but that's like with anything you're new to. A plus is that they aren't crazy expensive either and Razer produces hardware and software products for gamers by gamers :) I'm also using a Razer laptop and I love every inch of this bad boy.

I don't play mmo's, but i'm not seeing a million side buttons as a negative. Dimensions and shape look good as well. The tilting scroll wheel seems neat! So far this ones at the top of my "try" list. Thanks a bunch!
My wife has hands that, compared to mine which aren't what I'd call large, look like doll's hands. My thumb is nearly twice the length of her pinkie. I'll ask her when she gets home what she uses at work, or if she's got any ideas.

In the meantime, with apologies if any of these have already been put forward:

The Kiro is very similar in size, but offers a lot more features.
Roccat actually calls it "the Lua's big sister".

4 fully customizeable extra buttons, two on each side. And it can do up to 4000 DPI in "overdrive mode" (whatever that means^^).

dude everyone will hate me for this...but i got myself a Speedlink (ik dont judge me) kudos z-9 gaming mouse. I got it for 60 euros (70 dollars), but you can get it fo 65 dollars on amazon. Its good for any type of games, 8200dpi, 9 programmable buttons and its looking nice.
I have small hands, and use it in palm grip style.

Why will we hate you? And that DOES NOT look like it's made for small hands...at all.

it also has really nice and easy to use software, you can literally use those buttons for whatever you want, with 5 different profiles and 4 different dpi settings that you can change.

Heh, same (size 5 to 5.5 women's), and I do the same - although in my case it's because I have flat feet that are slightly wide, so "boys" sneakers tend to fit better since most US shoe sellers have decided all women have AAA narrow toe and ball-of-foot areas or something. Used to just squish feet into those, but too "old" for that nonsense anymore.

Are the measurements on the amazon page accurate? That is definitely a small-sounding mouse. Will have to try that one too, if so, thanks.
i feel like the measurements probably arent accurate. At least, thats my guess from looking at it. 3 x 1 x 2 inches ? When the roccat kone pure is 4.7 x 2.8 x 1.5 inches and loved for being small? i dont think i've ever seen a mouse with dimensions below 4. Hard to trust that sort of stuff. This is why i wanted to get ideas from people with similar problems. Tired of buying and trying. But. Top of the list so far is the roccat kone pure, and the razer naga. Both are just fantastic.

If anyone else comes up with any other ideas, do let me know!
I would recommend 2 based on my experience.
Steelseries Sensei and Razer Naga.
Right now I am using a Naga and I'm in love with it, comfy, lots of buttons and my hand doesnt get achy after hours using it.
hey, sorry to necro this thread. OP, just wondering what mouse you settled on? Another small-handed girl here going through the same exhausting process of trying to find a well-fitting mouse. I have been using the razer naga which is mostly okay, but would be more comfortable if it was a bit smaller. Most of the smaller mice I've seen in this thread though don't have many side-buttons, and I'd love to have at least 3, but 6 would be ideal.

So what mouse did you end up with?
Razer Tron Mouse Is tiny as hell(on top of looking awesome) if you can find one. I Can't really use it cause my hands are big for it. I use a G400s to give you an idea of comparison.
@Miss Vera did you succeed in your quest for a tiny mouse? I have the same problem, so wondering what worked for you :)

Logitech, such as G502
or something from SteelSeries or Corsair.

Top notch all-around, good support and warranty coverage too.

Go to a local store where they display various models of Mice/Keyboard out of the box and on-display for customers to see/feel... that is best bet when you are totally un-sure of what to buy regarding such things.

Places like BestBuy, Frys, MicroCenter ...
are good for displaying such things. Maybe not every single model, but enough for you to make a decision towards base model and ones close to that overall design.
And by small hands do you mean?.... awkward....
