Computer Issue
I have found so far when running Rocket League, Rust, Dying Light and H1Z1 causes my monitor to lose connection from my PC and my keyboard freezes; my PC appears to carry on running yet it remains unresponsive and I have to turn off and reboot the PC by using the power button. When playing other games such as GTA V, PAYDAY2 & CS:GO my PC handles it fine. My drivers and games are up to date and I am not using BETA drivers.

My Specs:
CPU - AMD Athlon X4 860K Quad Core
GPU - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970
MOBO - Asus A88X-Gamer
RAM - 8GB

I am running ASUS Optimal in the BIOS

Memtest and GPU stress test completed and seem fine I guess, I am just about to carry out another GPU stress test.

Any Ideas?

Edit 1:
I just ran the UniEngine Heaven Benchmark 4.0 stress test on the GPU. I put the set the present to Extreme which is the highest graphic quality. It sucessfully ran to scene 15-17 (sorry I didn't quite catch it) out of 26 before my PC did the same thing where the moitor loses signal, the keyboard freezes; overall the PC being unresponsive. Does this mean I have a faulty GPU?

Edit 2:
After changing video slot, games seem to run fine now without fault! Thanks for all the help guys, problem seems to be fixed! :)

Edit 3:
H1Z1 and Rocket Leagure run fine now, problem seems to be fixed. When playing batman origins though, it crashes the pc. Is this due to bugs in-game?

What does this mean? You get a message on screen saying something like 'no signal'? Or does the screen go black? Or something else.
Yes it goes black and then displays "No Signal"

Have you tried connecting and disconnecting your monitor when you get this issue? Also what is your power supply make, model, and power in watts and also its power rating is it 80+ ,this is a common issue when graphics cards or a machine in general isnt receiving enough power, although there are also many other reasons for this to happen, I'm gona try and rule out the most obvious which comes to mind.

Thanks for your help, I will try disconnecting and reconnecting the monitor tomorrow.
My power supply has 750 watts, here is a link to all info you need: https://www.scan.co.uk/products/750w-cooler-master-g750m-hybrid-modular-80plus-bronze-1x120mm-quiet-fan-atx-v231-psu

That should be more than enough for your card, you wouldnt happen to have another PSU lying around of equal or 650watt minimum you can try? Also you can try rule out temperature being an issue, run a free program called furmark using one of the presets 1080p should surrfice and watch the temperature, if its getting too hot it could be turning off to protect itself.

I clicked on the 1080p preset and it ran up to 100%, max temperature was about 68. PC did not crash. What does this mean?

You could try a custom setting one that doesnt time out and run it for 5 minutes, although that sounds good. Could be pointing towards maybe a driver, are there new graphics drivers you can upgrade to?
why are you parring that gpu with that cpu?
also reinstall your gpu driver and make sure your gpu is all the way in

Try moving ur video card to a different pci slot. If that doesn't work try a different driver(make sure to use DDU to uninstall old driver first). If that doesn't fix it then just reformate Windows.

op has a cpu bottlenck
the amd apu has no chance of keeping up with the high end gpu

but his main ussue is most likely power draw

the gtx 960 is a 145w gpu
will need a quality 450+w psu for that build

cm is a poor choice
their low end are trash, and high end are overpriced

pick one of these

That's been covered, they are using s decent 80+ psu see previous comments, it's likely this is not the problem.

Edit: that processor may be a bottleneck but that would not cause a black screen, only low fps in fx / flex / phyx intensive games, I suspect this isn't a problem in ops case.

Glad its sorted, would be interesting to see if putting back in the previous slot yields the problem again, if it does and you have a bespoke system you've built yourself, check with the manufacturer of your motherboard to see if its still in warranty, you may be able to rma.
