How easy is it to scratch it to the point of functional damage? Would touching it several times (while trying to screw it in) hurt it? I was grounded on the case

it might be i suggest it to rule out the possibility of ram problems due to undervolted ram the rams specifications for gskill ripjaws v 3200 ddr4 is 1.35v

alot higher than that every chipset is different but the average is around 90c

yeah i mean at the end of the day i think there is something wrong with the ram.. unlikely the motherboard since it works with one stick

prolly not i dont think that supports ddr4 it should be running ddr3 on th i3 4th gen... 6th gens run ddr4

memtest is a program and you have to load it on a usb and boot from usb... another FAIRLY effective way (and much easier for you) is to download prime95 (like 5mb) and run that in a "blend" benchmark and that will extensively test a large chunk of the ram space as well as stress test the cpu
