HELP with GTX 750 Ti FTW
This is my prebuilt PC: https://www.asus.com/us/Tower-PCs/M11BB/specifications/

This is the PSU it has: http://us.estore.asus.com/products/04g185011206dp

The graphics card I want to install is the GTX 750 Ti FTW: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

My questions are:
What will I need to properly install it, this? http://www.amazon.com/4-Pin-Molex-Female-Adapter-Length...

How would I install the graphics card?

Purchase, Put in tower and turn on?

Do I need to update the Bios? This is my PC’s current Bios http://i.imgur.com/MWIith1.png?1

What if I have windows 10, do I still select the windows 8 version? http://www.asus.com/US/Tower-PCs/M11BB/HelpDesk_Downloa...

Do I need to install drivers? Which?

I don’t know the installation process of a graphics card, this is my first time buying parts for a PC

I dont believe that GPU requires 6pins, it just uses power from the PCI-E slot.
No you dont need to update the BIOS

The only thing you'll need is an up to date NVIDIA Driver from www.nvidia.com goto drivers, select your GPU and your OS and download the driver.

When installing, select CUSTOM Install, Only select the Driver itself and PhysX, nothing else need be installed unless you specifically need it.

The powersupply should be ok for that GPU, but youd be better off going with a decent yet cheap 500w.

Before you install the drivers, uninstall any GPU drivers that the PC came with.

Wrong, that GPU requieres a 6 pin connection its one of the few models that gets its own power rather than fully relying on motherboard. I think you can use the converters that comes with the GPU but i am not really sure. As CJ said you better change your power supply.

I just looked it up. You are right. It requires a 6 pin.

Yeah, the other two models on newegg looked like they didn't need it, but this seemed like it did. Well if it doesn't come with an adapter I could just buy one, but like you guys, on a separate note, there is really no good conversational gender opposite of guys, anyways, anyways as you all have mentioned It would be better to get a new PSU WITH the 6-Pin integrated. This would eliminate the need to get an adapter and safely meet not only the recommended wattage but also enough to provide a safety buffer, just in case my PC ever exceeded the current 350 peak. Do you guys have any 500w PSU recommendations with an integrated 6-Pin.

Corsair CX500M is a good option. The GPU comes with 2 molex 4 pin to a single 6 pin adaptor but i don't really trust your current power supply.

It looks sexy, can't help but admire it. I know right, i am also skeptical about the factory build one, seriously it looks like a bootleg XD the recommendation you gave me looks solid. Thanks guys for helping me clear out my doubts. Steam community is bae. Anyways ty for looking into my issue everyone, it's reassuring to have the feedback of others who know more, Steam should allow members to give votes to other helpful members so they are recognized for their contribution and support.

Ty CJ for teaching me the proper steps in installing a graphics card

Ty rad87gn for looking into the 6-Pin requirement

Ty Snow Mobile for the GPU clarification and PSU recommendation

No problem just a note the model you want to buy had an fan issue where the fans wouldn't go below %42 even at idle. I don't know if its fixed now but just wanted to let you know.

well like in the holy steam sales of our father, one of his holy commandments state to trust the reviews. Newegg has pretty postive revews for the most part on EVGA version, thier is also the Asus version, but they look the same. Ty for notifying me though. The reason I want the ftw version is preciously because it comes with another fan. Well, worst case scenario, it ends up not cooling as well , but the review seem to give plenty of hope. I also have previously added one fan to this PC before so that should also help. Again, ty for your feedback, you are like a steam Wizard :D

Yeah many reviews do not include it but if you check hexus.nets review "here"
http://m.hexus.net/tech/reviews/graphics/66825-evga-geforce-gtx-750-ti-ftw-acx/?page=10
At the bottom they mention about the %42 issue and even saying that the bios update did not fix. But it shouldn't be a problem since their fans are quiet and this is the highest overclocked 750Ti on market and can even go higher by little tweaking.
Edit: Good to know that it had been fixed it was 2 years ago last time i checked it then there is nothing to worry about go for it :)

Yeah thats right, i forgot.. FTW editions require more power so it would need a 6pin, but if you go with a standard 750 Ti it shouldnt need a 6pin.

There is no benefit to buying a higher-end "750 Ti" just grab the cheapest one on the market for your region. If u want a good one like "EVGA FTW" then buy a better all-around GPU, like GTX 970 series; but then again, something above approx GTX 750 series or AMD R9 260 series would need a better PSU.

I would suggest either of these. They come with the PCIE 6-pin to 2x 4pin Molex power cable adapter.

Don't get a 750Ti FTW, it's outdated. Buy a GTX 950 instead, they are around the same price and 2x as strong.
