Pls Kind Sirs Help this PC Peasant
Hi first of all, thank you for your time and thought.

As the title of this post indicates I am a PC noob when it comes to hardware and software. Over times the holy steam sales have converted my cheap soul and I have yearned for better graphics and preformance. I can run games with my current PC but compromises have to be made in the options menu. I don't know if I will just have to upgrade my grahpics card, or more. I'm thinking that if I can at least run the recommneded settings for the witcher 3 I would be satisfied. Since I am a not a graphics ♥♥♥♥ or AAA game maniac, but more of a gamer that got involved in the glory of the PC master race with softporn like League. I play games inbetween a potato and microwave. for example I just bought Bioshock infinite a while ago. If running the witcher seems too costly then how about being able to run Ori and the Blind Forest, since I want it but I can't run it. However if you'd be willing to lend me your wizardly knowleage on how to reach the recommned setting for witcher 3 with this potota PC it would be nice alwell.

Budget: well i am but a peasant so 300 would be the sting I would take

This is some info that I found about my PC, I have little knowlege of what this langage means but If more info is neccesary I will search for it.

System:
Manufacturer- ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC.
Model- ASUS Desktop PC M11BB Series
Processor- AMD A10-6700 APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics 3.70GHz
Installed memory (RAM)- 8.00 GB (7.20 GB usable)
System type- 64bit OS, x64-based processor

I'd try to sell it and build a new PC from scratch. With the money you can gain from selling that, plus your current $300 budget, you should be able to make a decent gaming PC. It's not worth upgrading.

If you absolutely had to stick with that PC though then I suppose a GTX 750Ti or GTX 950 would work as a GPU upgrade. You will still chug with something like Witcher 3 though.

I have low intellince when It comes to this techy stuff. I like my potato, it may not be the best, and it might as well be considred trash by some, but I've grown attached to it, I would be willing to burn the cash to help it through her current condition. If i wanted a high end pc than definetly I would say goodbye and say hello to a new one, but like I mentioned i don't play that many games for the elite PCs.

Thank you for your recommendation sundownKid, I will look into it, if anyone else has further comments I would be happy to learn more.

I agree the a10 apus are cool but lack upgradabilty, I would sell it for as much as you can and build a $500-600 PC with i5 4460 and r9 380 4gb
Doctor is there no way I can save it? surely I should be able to at least preform some plastic surgery on it. If it is possible to ugprade it I will stand by it, it's my bae, all i've known, she is my first ;-;

I guess what you could do is 1 get the fastest ram your mobo and apu can handle (look up all your specs and check everything with PC part picker OR 2 look into gpus that can go dual graphics with your apu I believe the r9 270x can and that would be a huge improvement.
Thankyou PCMD I will look look into it :D
Also if your willing to go a bit over budget I would change your mobo and apu to am3 mobo or lga 1150(Intel) if you have enough money and getting fx-6300 with am3 or if you have a bit of money to spend get lga 1150 with i5 4460, finally use what ever you have left on gpu, I recommend r9 380 4gb xfx S it goes on sale for $170 sometimes
Also if you do my first idea don't get faster ram if your buying a new gpu, the ram Is a cheap upgrade but use less if your upgrade gpu
Sounds like a plan, thanks for the replys, I will certainly do the surgery considering your suggestions :)

Its time to put the old horse to the glue factory. She might have served you well but she is getting on in years and wont give you good performance with the most modern games.

If youre just gonna run indie games and League of Legends then adding in a weak GPU will be sufficient. But if you want to play AAA games decently then a new PC build is in order.

Youll probably be able to make at least $200, maybe $300 if you sell it, you can build a decent gaming PC for about $600.

Thanks for the feedback, what I wanted to get out of this post, was if i could give it that kick, since i am going more for moderate settings and not high end settings, I think i will be able to but what i don't know which graphics card suits this PC or rather what is the "best" graphics card it would be able to run, and if I would need to upgrade the cpu aswell to support it. Sorry to be so redundant, basically my question is can I put in a graphics card and improve it's performance and if so which graphics card. I am satisfied with it's current performance but I would like it if it could be better.

You need to check PSU wattage
how can I check that?
okay so I found out through here https://www.google.com/shopping/product/10872862212951425594/specs?client=opera&q=ASUS+Desktop+PC+M11BB+Series&sourceid=opera&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjxxI7KrOzKAhUJ32MKHUw9CDgQuC8IiwE

that it has 300 watt, i've read at least enough to know it's not much, so my question is what can i do with it, can i simply just upgrade the graphics card or do i also need to buy a new psu.

You should be able to upgrade the GPU to a GTX 750Ti or GTX 950 without switching out the PSU. Anything stronger you shouldnt bother with anyway since it will just bottleneck the CPU.
