SSD Convert to dynamic disk / convert to MBR?

Just setting up my SSD but have no idea which option i should use. Reading some forums really didn't help, is there one that most people choose? I just plan on using it for installing a few games that have long loading times.

I just used MBR on mine (I run Windows 7). GPT (GUID's) are used on EFI I think and Windows 8+.

Dynamic disks allow much more partitions than basic.

GPT probably is best for Windows 10, especially if you want >2 TiB partitions. MBR only supports up to 2 TiB. Probably not an issue for your SSD.

If you run TrueCrypt/VeraCrypt full disk encryption as I do, you are stuck with MBR since that does not support GPT.

So, if you want to encrypt your drive, as you should, you need MBR, if not, run GPT, I just don't use Bitlocker. BitLocker probably works with GPT.

If my disk encryption used GPT, I would use GPT probably, however, I am stuck with MBR for now.

I guess if in doubt, use the defaults :)

You don't choose any of that anyways; the OS does; as it auto-formats for MBR+NTFS upon WinOS installation.

So, what about it?

All your drives should be MBR+NTFS really; unless u setting up drives with more than 3 partitions.
