still 2 modules (4 cores) that are slightly faster with a slightly better gpu
since you have a dedicated gpu, save up for an i3 or i5 and board
first check if your ram is compatible with intel 1150 builds
use cpuz
http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html
cpuz -> spd tab
select each dimm and look voltage for all profiles
if any profile is over 1.55v that dimm should not be used on intel 1150 builds
(1151 ddr3 boards need 1.35v or lower)
i was thinking about saving up for the i5 and then a new mobo aswell so think ill just do that
All compatible CPU's: http://www.cpu-world.com/Related_CPUs/Socket%20FM2_Piledriver.html
A10-6800K is the top end of that socket at 100 Watts TDP.
Comparisson of A8 vs A10

This is the problem with AMD, lack of decent upgrades on their sockets. Especially on TDP profiles.
Whilst AMD is a cheap buy, it becomes more expensive when you come to upgrade and find no upgrade path, and then have to fork out for a whole new motherboard and processor.
Intel is much better at offering upgrades and more compatible TDP profiles on their sockets.
yes, if you go with haswell/refresh i5 and 1150 board your current ram will work
You really want i5. Consider second hand to save money on the processor, but buy a new good long lasting motherboard.
Second hand? Get one from somebody who upgraded themselves to i7 or something.

if you can go to 200 for the i5 4460 and board, it will be well worth it

skylake 1151 i3/i5 require ddr3 1.35v or lower or ddr4
which you would need new ram for
I got a core 2 duo on amazon for 10 Euro from a laptop parts used. Bargin at that price lol, yes I know different processor but, if the price is low enough, why worry :)
I never used ebay, I mostly use Amazon, even though it's a little more expensive than ebay, basically for Amazon's safety :)
Maybe try to find one local to you? Or a local computer shop with used parts?
esp with cpu/mobo and gpus
