1650 GTX
Asus motherboard. Not sure exact model but its an older gamer motherboard. Still Runs great. I just want to make sure the Adapter card will do the job. My specs look high enough..
those used qpi, that the board need to translate to pci lanes
most of those better boards had 2x pci-e x16 2.0 slots
will be fine for the gpu
it also should have atleast 4 usb 3.0 ports (can adapt to usb c)
but the real issue will be the slower cpu
those were good overclockers to around 4ghz with good cooling
same as ocing the 920/930/950
https://www.overclock.net/forum/5-intel-cpus/538439-guide-overclocking-core-i7-920-930-4-0ghz.html
might help, but still will not be as fast as a newer cpu and board with ddr4
9700 is 300mhz slower but with 60% better core performance
https://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i7-980-vs-Intel-Core-i7-9700/m3336vsm816180
its the core performance (ipc), and the ht on the first gen was not nearly as good as having more cores (basically a slower queue to keep the cores busy)
v2.0 x16 = v3.0 x8
many of those usb to pci-e v3.0 are x1, will be much slower than using the x16 v2.0 slot on the board
One post you list 1660 Ti, then later list a 1650
1660 ti is better, but is still very low for vr titles
but the cpu will be the bigger bottleneck
1660 Ti should be fine, just not a 1650
Then tell us what your motherboard specs are off the 'Mainboard' tab.
I'm betting...Etron EJ168 chips (USB)
Anyone know of a confirmed USB 3.0 adapter that will pass Windows Mixed Reality if user has Etron chipset?
Thank you. I will do the test and post it, The VR test I ran on this site said it passed, but it had a yellow question mark next to the 3.0 Adapter section. Maybe its bc I inserted the PCIe to 3.0 adapter and it doest know how to read it. But again, I dont know like you guys. I was told my old board is really great for gaming. My board is a Asus P6T Deluxe V2. Here is the link.

PS. Thanks for not trying to flame me for asking questions. I see that happen a lot around here for people trying to learn more. When I am done with everything I will post the CPUZ
