Usually that´s a program that came with your GPU. You can turn it off. You don´t need it. It´s not a virus.

(Catalyst Control Centre, probably came with your GPU driver. Causes more problems having it on, than off.)

You want to check the drive/volume for any errors, if that does not find any errors, possible reinstall the driver, so the file can be restored. A few bytes probably toppled over, and now it can´t read the file.
It´s pretty rare to have this error.

Checking for errors can be done through your operating system. (You don´t have to download anything.)
The link below gives some general idea on how to run an error check (assuming you use Windows):
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/administration/windows-commands/chkdsk

If you haven´t attempted a restart, it´s recommendable to do that first.

I would recommend running chkdsk. If there is a problem with your file-system, it should be repaired before it gets worse.

That's what is does. You've checked it. There is nothing more you have to do. It's an automatic process, that repairs any potential issues (in case you had any) with the hard drive.

its a scan thing? you dont do anything?
AustrAlien2010 18 MAY 2020 a las 8:01 a. m.
Yes. Chkdsk is a program, that should scan the hard drive the file is on, for any potential errors. So they can be automatically repaired.

Use revo uninstaller and driver store explorer and wipe all AMD graphics software, then run chkdsk /f and update with the most recent drivers.

was that easy? anything else needs to be done?
AustrAlien2010 18 MAY 2020 a las 8:30 a. m.
Easiest way is to just open a file browser, right-click the drive the file is on, then left-click properties. (a properties window should pop-up)

Then see if you can check the drive, by using those tabs and buttons. You want it to repair any potential errors. So check any checkbox that you may see, before scanning. (this may require a restart)

any reason why ccc.exe would happen?
AustrAlien2010 18 MAY 2020 a las 8:39 a. m.
Most likely, it's software that came with your PC if it has an AMD or ATI card, but it's not mandatory to keep it running. Meaning, it can be turned off without causing issues.

CCC is basically for setting up multi-monitor profiles.

Unless you have a really old driver installed.
