sfc scannow and browse the internet
can i run sfc scannow and browse the internet

Im trying to download a game through windows store but Im getting a message saying Something happened on our end. Try again later.

And i found a thread that a suggestion said to run sfc /scannow

SFC just does a cross check to verify all of the core OS files. You can continue using the PC normally while the scan takes place in the background. However the PC might seem rather sluggish when doing so if the OS is not on an SSD.

It's best to just do SFC and CHKDSK with the system totally idle. It'll finish quicker that way.
