Multi-core enhancement, or similar things, just allow all cores to boost to the single core speed.
So, your CPU will boost all cores 4.5Ghz.

So long as your cooler can handle it, it'll be fine.
You can always turn it off if it does get to hot.

Do you recon a 212 evo can handle it?

The 7700k is a toasty chip, but from a quick look, people are saying they've done it fine.

So yeah, I'd say it's worth a shot, worst case you have to disable it.

Well, just run something like Prime95, or Aida64, see what the max temps you're getting are, if they're 85-90c, that'll be fine, if you're just gaming (because gaming won't produce nearly as much load.)

My quick answer is NO. But if you select yes and then set your CPU overclock manually it gets disabled anyway. In general I do not recommend overclocking with MCE or any other automatic OC method by motherboard manufacturers as voltages get set way too high to compensate for consistency.
