but the psu will need to be up to the task also
id go tor a 1660s, and an i5/i7 8xxx-9xxx, for a more balanced build

Same reason I would not recommend higher then RTX 2070 Super for the new Ryzen 3 3300X quad-core.
Grab a 9600K and cpu cooler
