Found the guy that runs Userbenchmark's steam account.

Spotted the guy who can't see or feel stutters and doesn't bother looking at the most important metric for smooth gameplay.

Also, anyone who looks at user benchmark or mentions it regarding performance numbers should be ignored.

When AMD offers a better experience I'll advise it, until then, Intel is the better option.

userbenchmark is useful to check if your system works properly but i agree comparisons between different systems is lackluster

As of right now, in money were no object, the fastest CPU you can get is an Intel Xeon w9-3495X. It's priced at about $7,000, but nothing can touch it. The Ryzen Threadripper 5995WX comes within spitting distance though, and you would save a bit at between $5,300 and $6,000.

The fastest GPU you can possibly buy right now is the Nvidia RTX 4090 at about $1,600. The runner up would be AMD's RX 7900 XTX at $1,000.

In both of these cases, the winner in terms of sheer performance is Nvidia and Intel, however AMD offers the best price to performance ratio in all cases, and this holds true even when you scale back to more reasonable hardware.

in rendeung performanve or such that xeon win yes...

in gaming performance however the ryzem 7800x3d and 7950x3d take tge crown.
The next generation in 2024:

Intel 15th Gen as i9-15900K (desktop) or i9-15980HX (mobile)

Nvidia 5070 at least

Intel's 15th Gen will be revolutionary with latest Lithograhy state-of-the-art technology for every machines and devices and even finally kicks out AMD from the Server sector...

Very insightful, great job, as usual.
Unfortunately for you two different people have your original blunder quoted even though you edited it this time.

Yes, such a blunder, I tried to hide it so much that I even made a note of what I changed! (as always have) Well spotted.

I feel that 15th gen will have teething issues the same as early ryzen did moving to a new design / chiplets, but it will be interesting to see, it wouldn't be the first time where a new generation was out performed by the previous.

We shouldn't forget that Intel is the company that was using 14nm for it's products from 2014 all the way through 2023. Most likely we won't see significant gains from Intel's future products compared to what they have now. Also remember the 14'th gen series are exactly the same performance as the 13'th gen. 15'th won't be significantly faster than 14'th gen

Maybe, but we can't know for sure. It's all rumors and speculation. Also, 2025 could mean January as well.

It is not rumor. Nvidia announced they are moving to an annual product cycle starting soon. So a new generation each year starting soon.

That doesn’t mean we get unusual 3 year gap between architectures.

According to this article:
https://www.tomshardware.com/news/nvidia-may-move-to-yearly-gpu-architecture-releases

… Blackwell is coming in 2024 and the next architecture in 2025. So 5090 and 5080 may as well come as usual and on time. Or not. We can’t know for sure.
Wrong quote.

In terms of company history, yes, they had difficulties with EUV lithography, but today they are back. It's like AMD when their Phenom and FX CPUs were bad but they took the lead with the introduction of Ryzen and let's not forget that AMD also were manifacturing their CPUs, but they outsourced the production. Intel's devidends are cutted by 66% and guess where the money go. Most of them are for R&D.

Anyway, Meteor lake was released and everyone is silent. Did I miss something?

At first Intel didnt want to release a 14th Gen release for Desktops (this year), only a 14th Gen major release for mobile devices as Laptops.. they wanted to "skip" the Desktop sector this year, but Intel still does... So Intel's current 14th Gen for Desktops is nothing less than a 13th Gen "revamp". It is a longer story and how about to call their next releases ..

Intel's 15th Gen in 2024 is the next real major release for Desktops by a new high-end Lithography tech, while 14th Gen for Laptops "is" a major release.

If you want a desktop PC, go for Intel's upcoming 15th Gen in next year.

If you can wait until summer 2024, get an Intel 15th Gen (Arrow Lake).

Intel's 15th Gen are going to be a real upgrade in all aspects, as 14th Gen is just a little refresh of the 13th Gen, an outdated/obsolete tech/lithography procedure, and so not worthy..

Intel's 15th Gen will going to be a real gamechanger in competition and brings Intel Servers even finally back to the front.

However, Intel's 14th Gen for "mobile devices" as Laptops or even for Smartphones is not a refresh but a real upgrade already. For example the upcoming i9-14980 HX as these are built within the latest state-of-the-art Lithography tech..

So, in general, I suggest you wait until summer 2024 to get an i7-15700k or i9-15900k .. 15th Gen releases in a brand new next-gen Lithography Tech made/invented in Germany (Trumpf, Zeiss) in cooperation with ASML, TSMC and JASM.

Skip the 13th Gen and especially the 14th Gen for Desktops, while 14th Gen for Laptops is a go! And if you are interested into a new Smartphone, check for the "Snapdragon 8 Gen 3" .. Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 -- its tech -- is already ~5 years old ..

But 14th gen is Raptor lake so it's like 15th. 16th is Arrow lake. Technically there are Redwood cove as P cores and Crestmont as E cores. Interestingly, Intel introduced a third category of cores, which turned out to be quite disappointing in my opinion. Probably it doesn't have L4 cache as it was rumored.
