Remember if it starts leaking it’s game over. A fan failing is easy to fix.

You don't have one do you? Please don't create unnecessary concern. If your PS catches fire it's game over too. I've been using the same AIO for over 3 years with zero issues. To the OP no they are sealed you don't top them up.

My brother lost his £2000 pc because of a water leak. He had his AIO for 4 years. I’ve never considered shifting to it since then.

No they dont need anything. But i still dont use them because they are too unreliable. I had one years ago and the pump died after about 2 years. The new ones might be better but i still dont trust them. I prefer air coolers. They can last a lifetime, and they even work without fans so a fan failure is not a big deal.

All-in-one liquid coolers are known by another name: closed loop coolers.

At least 95% of CLCs don't have a fill port, there are some that do but you'll almost never need to use it because it takes more than a few years for evapouration to reduce a significant enough portion of the fluid inside to have any impact on cooling capacity. Hence why most don't even have a fill port, it's a waste of money to produce.
They slowly lose water and after some years their effectiveness starts to fall. This is when it's a good idea to have a top-up!

the aio pump will fail well before that point

Depends since the Be Quiet Silent loop AIO's do allow for refilling or topping up coolant in the instructions but most are sealed with the "not in any way serviceable by end user" type of deal so you have to go through warranty or replace.

Got an OG h100 that still cools a FX8320e, still works great for it.

They don't use conductive liquids on AIOs, what planet are you on. :tgrin:

Nice made up story though.
