EDIT: For additional clarity, the Hydro X is their "custom loop" system (e.g. an "open loop" rather than an "All in One" (AIO) / "Closed Loop Cooler" (CLC).
Their AIO products which have some software integration for monitoring/control/RGP features such as your Corsair iCUE LINK H170i RGB AIO will us the iCUE software for that console/monitoring.
The Hydro X "assistant" is just a guide / walk through on how to put together one of the Hydro X systems.
Sorry I was editing my original reply. You should only need to install the iCUE software. I'm not sure why it would be prompting you for HydroX assistant since you don't have that product line. Were there any other options or prompts prior to that popup?
Well, there's a message at the top right of the screen saying (I translate from Spanish): "iCUE has detected the thermal probe connected to port n.1 on Commander CORE XT. Do you wish to install the customized cooling system Corsair Hydro X Series?". So... should I wish to install that for some reason?
let the mobo bios settings control the fans
keep the pump at 100% all of the time
just use the corsair software to control the lighting
I agree with pump at 100% DC power option. However these Corsair AIO systems have the extra Rad Fans connected connected to the pump system and that's all powered by a sata power connector so you need to use iCUE to control those extra fans
