Silicon Power Ace A55 SSD
I bought this SSD, I am also aware of a high failure rate in SP SSD's, but this one seems to have some other Controller, it is made in 2023, so this year and it doesn't detect temperature, it is fixed on 40c no matter what I do, so no sensor, compared to my Kingston a400 which has sensor... I cannot even check the Controller name, but so far I think I got TLC version instead of SLC version... Which, I don't really care much about, I actually preffer TLC for some reasons... And I don't care about the speed much, because my mobo is from 2011, SATA2... I just wonder if any of you had or have this SSD and how it behaves? Does it have Temp Sensor?

I checked with multiple softwares, also, anyone knows how to enable/disable read-ahead option?

So, are you saying that is the reason they removed temp sensor? Makes sense, thank you.

If it's a sata piece in a 2.5" pack you don't have to worry about temps generally, or just use the temp of your mobo as indicator. And does is show 40 right after boot?

It is 2.5 on SATA 2 mobo, so it doesn't even work at full speed, goes up to 280mb in benchmark and it is capable of double that speed... Anyways, while benchmarking SSD I am pretty sure that temps stay the same... It wouldn't make any sense for this SSD drive to really be 40c...

Might try SP Toolbox to check if thermal sensor exists .
I personally dont care about temp sensor when we speak about SATA ssd .
Ye, it's not much about sensor, more about the way they made it, also there exist 2 versions under the same name... Different controller... Please, update me on Temp Sensor if it exists or no when you buy your 2tb SSD. Thank you ^_^

Did you try SP ToolBox ?
Yes, immediately after turning it on... What about it? It shows same as Hard Disk Sentinel or HWMonitor...
