Primary VRAM: 1024 MB, But should show higher?
So I'm not the most tech savvy person on this planet, otherwise I wouldn't be typing, but i was trying to find out certain specs of my laptop and noticed that it shows "Primary VRAM: 1024 MB". The number seemed a little low so I used a converted on google just to find out that it's equivalent to 1GB. That would be fine and all if it were true, but i believe that at one point, it showed at least 4 or 6GB. I'm so confused and idk if maybe it's a setting that got changed and that's why it's lower or what. Any help or suggestions is welcome and thanks for your time in advance.

What are your PC's specs? CPU and GPU specifically.

Do you have a secondary GPU?

The specs above are refering to the GPU integrated in to the CPU, these are low powered chips which borrow memory from the system (typically 512MB or more) and lack their own dedicated memory. This all looks perfectly normal.

ahhh ok, so maybe steam is getting the information from my dedicated gpu instead of my 1050ti?

GTX 1050 Ti is your Dedicated GPU.
Steam is using info from the primary Intel GPU which it has no choice but to look at.
Forget what Steam says, honestly IDK why people waste their time looking at that.

Use CPU-Z & GPU-Z apps.

ahhh ok. I opened a run box and typed dxdiag to pull up the info, and it says i have 4020mb vram

That would fit the specs of a 1050Ti.
