What's the best CPU GPU & power supply for 1080p & 1440p gaming

Im thinking of building a computer

fast cpu, fast gpu, psu good enough to run them

if the monitor supports gsync/freesync, then it can lower to match the gpus output rate


high fps takes a fast cpu to keep preparing the scenes for each frame, and gpu needs to keep up with drawing them

What budget are we talking about? Without budget there is 4090.

and then the issues running older games on CPU that has 1000 cores and the ever so terrible Ecore system......... Newer is not always the better! I suggest a 9th or 10th GEN refurb PC i 5 or I7 These will cost you as low as 200$ and some will have 16 or more GIG of ram this is by far enough. Then drop in a Cheap 600 watt power supply and WHich ever GPU you can afford The AMD off brand RX 580 are as low as 100$ GREAT budget set up. I have been designing and build PC's longer then many user have been alive! Through $ at it will not always give you what you want . But for thought and asking the right questions will if you ask the right person.

As for SSD;s "TEAM GROUP" they make some of the lowest price - BEST WARRANTY! this is important - 3 years on them. As for Monitors Forget about the Computer section GO to the TV section Look at 4ks! HUGE 43's well under 200$ Want to see a difference = Step up to 4k. and yes 60 hz is fine! And these prices are much lower then so called PC monitors - ALL use HDMI or DP now. DP = display port Unless your one of the FPS counter watchers. "FACEPALM" as long as my game runs smooth I am happy I never look at FPS and I do not friggen care! Movies are as low as 18 FPS standard is 23-24 FPS , ever see stutter in movies? GET SERIOUS!

I highly suggest building this way as you will have Money left over for games and maybe a Mouse upgrade, I love Wireless Logitech here! They are not cheap! A good mouse is very important

Oh and 2 sets of rechareable batterys and a charger. Batterys in my mouse last upto 6 months. Do not cheap out here!

Forgot to mention something very important if you go looking for a refurb. What to look for and what to stay "far" away from!

Dell - Lenovo are very respectable-. AVOID "HP" as if it were your neighbors bad dog! And look for PC's in larger cases - Not the compacts As they use different motherboards in them and you will need an adapter for a normal power supply which will not fit in those small cases anyway nore will a GPU!
