Any particular size?
Is that USD, CAD, AUD, etc?
If USA, are you near a Microcenter?
What are you planning on doing with it (just gaming, video editing, etc)?
Planning to overclock or not?
or any accessories? (monitor, keyboard, mouse, controller, wifi nic, speakers)
do you have any components you can reuse? (ram, drives, case, psu ect..)
microcenter has 6700k /w z170 combos starting around $450+tax
if you do lots of video editing or streaming the i7 and 16g of ram will help, but cost around $150 more than i5 and 8g of ram
the 3.5g+.5g ram on the gtx 970 is a non issue
at 1080p is rarely runs over 3.5g adn the .5g is still on the gpu and is alot faster than any other ram in the pc
at over 1080p you will want a faster gpu anyway
if you get the cpu/mobo from microcenter this will be right aroudn $1000usd
