Audiophile Headphones/Any Kind of Headphones For Gaming under $150?
I probably made many topics like this before in the past, but anyways.I'm looking for a nice pair of headphones for under $150.I currently own a pair of Sennheiser HD 558s and i'm not saying they're bad,but they weren't what I was expecting. So i'm looking for a pair that's preferably open back(but they don't have to be if they have good soundstage).Great soundstage and sound imaging for fps games mainly. Also would I enjoy some bass, not alot but noticeable. If you could help me look for a pair that would be much appreciated. Thanks! :)

*****UPDATE*****
Received the AD700x's and I am very displeased, lack bass and sound strange and are uncomfortable to me.I welcome more recommendations.

I told you already I can't go to a store to test out headphones,If I were able to I wouldn't have a hard time,my Best Buy doesn't allow people to test out headphones or offer a wide selection, same with my Fry's Electronics, and plus both places are quite far.

There's plenty more guides there.

Oh well. Just sad to see that you still couldn't decide. Hope you'll get a good pair before 2017 :P

i currently use Bluetooth headphones from a new brand(but it sounds great)
but when it comes to M50...just go blindly. It has great bass, soundstage and mids and highs but the soundstage in gaming might not be that good(cause its not open not really). For music its great for gaming its good. You need to understand when it comes to gaming pretty much all headphones suck at something or other.
P.S.Here,probably something you wanna look at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3fD-M1F6L4g

I just don't understand,a lot of people say that the AD700x's are amazing and have a wide soundstage,I didn't experience that however, everything sounded unclear and muffled, could it just be me or something?

Read the guide. Maybe let a friend with some experience in audio test hear your headphones (at your PC). It also might sound "weird" for you if you switch from cheap gaming headsets to entry level hifi headphones. Decent headphones aren't as forgiving.

Well, my recommendation of 770 / 880 stands - easy listeners with a good overall package.

I did some research and someone recommended Philips Fidelio X1's.Have you heard of those by any chance? The person said they're pretty good for gaming.
The 700x have no reputation for good bass, sorry, I don't know where you got that impression. Audio Technica overall isn't the best with bass, it tends to roll off. The M50s would be the safer bet if you still want to go with AT, but you're probably looking to a different company now. If you think your pair sounds weird you'll probably think the same of any other from the same brand.

Unless you're going to step up to where Sennheiser really begins to shine (~ $500 USD and above) you should ignore your experience with them and move on.

Beyerdynamic would be your best bet in your price range.

Otherwise these Sony cans sounded good in my brief experience with them. Very strong bass and more colored sound than usual with Sony. Despite their appearance they offer very little external noise reduction. They go on sale pretty often or you could find a lower new stock price online I'm sure. MDRXB950BT/B

Beyerdynamic would be my choice over Sony but with the above you'd definitely get your bass and they do have a clear punch to them.

I never said that the 700x had bass,I said they lack bass which I see now that I have them
^ I understood that, what I thought you meant was you purchased them expecting to get solid bass. It's a little odd you didn't enjoy the soundstage from either them or the Sennheisers though.

Like the earlier poster said you should have a friend check out your setup. Or take your headphones over to a friend's.
