4090s will be in short supply for the next 2 years
Is this true?

Just asking not looking to sell.

There is no ban for these. The US Government removed those from the ban list a few weeks ago.

Google says its happening on 17th nov look for yourself.
I think you guys should actually read the ban. It is banning the sales of those devices in China It is an export ban.

Is this the ones that keep burning out because Nvidia has zero quality control
They keep melting because they never fixed the problem: the cable
The problem never was the cable. The problem was improper installation by users not seating the cable completely or bumping the cable and not knowing that they slightly unseated it. If people install it correctly the melting problem doesn't occur and is not an issue. Gamer's Nexus confirmed this for us.

And its been confirmed Nvidia sent a big shipment to beat the deadline. I only have to look online and see the uk stocks been affected.

A lot of 4090 dissapeared and theres a price hike too. Nvidia did that, They sent the shipment to beat thier own countrys export laws and then created a shortages and jacked up the prices.

In my world, They would be thrown in jail for anti consumer and practices than endanger national security or attempts tp undermine national policy. 10yrs for the CEO sounds about right. Instead we live in a weak ceo orientated world. This is why Americans and America is on a downwards trajectory.

If you can't prove anything, grow up and move on.

That's not surprising to see from a b-tier brand power supply like BeQuiet. This is a perfect example folks of why you don't cheap out on the power supply when you build a system with other top-spec components.

Just like any company who makes PSUs. BeQuiet makes both good and bad power supplies
the specific article mentions the "Dark Power 13" model which is in Tier A + listed as ATX 3.0 compatible.
https://cultists.network/140/psu-tier-list/

12VHPWR by itself is a good idea but the connector itself needs a second revision as its much harder to latch this thing properly to make sure that you don't have any air going into this thing

Nothing from BeQuiet is ever going to be "Quality" that people could actually depend on working reliably for their computers, even the model listed in that website. It's a garbage brand that should be avoided. This thread is a direct example of that. It's a B-Quiet power supply and the connector melted on the power supply end of the cable. Which is a fault in power supply design. Which means any BeQuiet power supply that uses this new connector is now suspect and should be avoided.

Who would I trust more? a random person on Steam or tech reviewers who have like 15+ years in the field of hardware reviews
Speaking of which, I also happened to run a BeQuiet PSU in my system (Straight Power 11 850W) with an overclocked 9900K and overclocked RTX 3080 for more than 3 years yet nothing happened.

See that's a big part of the problem with folks like you. You just blindly listen to whatever the "tech reviewers" shovel at us and think it's doctrine without researching anything then just spend money on it because "so and so that reviews hardware" says it's good.

Personally I will only ever spend money on actual trusted name brand power supply makers like Antec, Thermaltake, and EVGA. None of the models from any of those 3 have ever had issues even their cheap ones. They're known reliable at all tiers for 15+ years without even thinking about it and we don't need some "review personality person" to tell us that.

But EVGA also made literal garbage like the EVGA W1
Had 4 Thermaltake PSUs personally and only 1 of them survived the test of time
Didn't have experience with Antec or going through products but nothing off seems to be about them.

While I agree that reviewers aren't the end game. they do represent general expectations and do it well if you go with trusted sources.
Not to mention that it depends on which reviewer as well. I would take Gamers Nexus's word far more seriously than Linus Tech Tips's word for example
both Guru3D and AnandTech exist since the late 90s with very much proven track record

Still not the cable, and you're still taking the "L".

Ironic...

The issue is still user error with the original 12VHPWR connector and not fully seating it which results in reduced surface contact, thus increasing the resistance, which thus increases temperature at the poor contact.

The connector has been slightly modified already with shorter sense pins and will be replaced with the PCIe 6 - 12v-2x6 connector specification.

If you can't use your brain, grow up and move on.
