12v strips need +12v and - for each color r/g/b some with /w for a white (all leds the same color)
the board does not have an argb header
there are many aftermarket usb controllers for argb
https://www.amazon.com/LEDdess-Rainbow-Controller-Strip-Remote/dp/B07JZCNPNV/ref=sr_1_3
cheap dirty way, with remote, some are usb with software like the corsair icue
Thanks for the reply.
I want to be able to use my installed software to control the lights still, just keeps it simple. And have the full argb spectrum. Gigabyte board so it is using RGB Fusion.
The one you linked, that plugs up to a sata? Could just have the device hidden away in the case, plug up the sata and the 3 pin from the fans (they are daisy chained) into the single port of that device and it would work?
Guess the remote is just a little feature to change it physically instead of via software.
sata is power only
this uses the mobo rgb header to control the argb strips

DeepCool RGB Convertor 5V ADD-RGB to 12V RGB Transfer Hub

Cheers mate. I had seen that one during my search. Only thing I got confused with was which port my Arctic fans would plug into for the argb. And the take away from that video is that I wouldn't get the full argb spectrum, which is fine.
But this does seem like a viable option, which would allow control, from what I am understanding, within Gigabyte's RGB Fusion - which is currently handling the lights on the mobo and ram.
Edit:
The one you linked. Is that the same as this:

Appreciate your help, mate.
if you dont mind using other software, the corsair ique commander costs more, but does better
its usb controlled, and you will need adapters for the leds, since corsair does not use a standard argb header on their products

Mate, I truly appreciate your help. I think I will buy the one I linked to you. Seems like it will do the job.
So from all of this I should be able to use my current icue or RGB Fusion to control the fan colour? The fans are already onto a 4 pin to control them, just need the colour control which one of my softwares should be able to do.
your ique thing should work, just need to adapt the corsair dupont argb outputs to the fans argb connector
Cheers. Yeah I am going to have the radiator intake fans and the cpu fan connected together, so it should work fine.
I'll buy that deepcool one. Just hard to work out which is the legit product or not. Some have the deepcool product box, others are just a white box, but same product ha
Those can all be found online anyways
Oh right. I am going with the labelled box at the moment, from Deepcool. $29 plus delivery. Should do the job. Hope connecting it all is not a pain - seems straight forward.
Hey mate,
Hope you are well.
So I got the adaptor for going 12v to 5v, all the fans are in, but I am unable to control the colours using my software. Was wondering if you could offer any advice?
I have the 2 in-take radiator fans connected to the cpu, then all the case fans are daisy chained together for the rgb and it is running to a LED_C1 4 pin on my motherboard. The end of the daisy chain is going into the deepcool converter as it should.
Would I get full colour control or even be able to do a colour change effect with these fans if I connected them direct to a pwm 4 pin on my motherboard?
Yeah, I believe you did explain it to me. I won't get the full argb control as it is running through the deepcool converter and connecting to a 12v rgb 4 pin on the motherboard.
Would like to have them doing a colour change of some sort, but doesn't seem to be a way. Main thing is better fans.
